A four-year letter winner in softball at Glenda Dawson (TX) High School, Day is coming off a senior campaign that saw her bat .561 overall with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 43 runs batted in, while posting a 1.06 ERA in the circle on the way to earning Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State, all-region first team and District 23-6A Most Valuable Player honors ... as a junior, she was tabbed 2018 Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Second Team All-State as well as first-team all-region and the District 23-6A Most Valuable Player after posting a 14-4 pitching mark with a 0.95 ERA and 144 strikeouts ... she batted .521 with 15 runs scored, four doubles, 15 home runs and 40 runs batted in ...
