2012 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS
• Placed 12th in the 200m freestyle (1:48.42/1:49.55p) and 47th in the 100m freestyle (50.70)
AS A JUNIOR (2013-14)
• Joined Jack Conger, Sam Lewis and Kip Darmody to place fifth in the 800 freestyle relay (6:16.72) at the NCAA Championships; anchored the relay in 1:33.54
• Placed sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:33.66), 27th in the 200 butterfly (1:44.32) and 30th in the 500 freestyle (4:19.36) at the NCAA Championships
• Joined Jack Conger, Sam Lewis and Kip Darmody to win the 800 freestyle relay (6:17.24) at the Big 12 Championships; anchored the relay in 1:33.21

· Took sixth in the 200 freestyle (1:33.52), 20th in the 500 freestyle preliminaries (4:18.37) and 35th in the 100 freestyle preliminaries (43.66) at the NCAA Championships
· Won the 200 freestyle (1:33.71), took third in the 500 freestyle (4:17.64) and fifth in the 200 backstroke (1:46.27) at the Big 12 Championships
· Placed second in the 200 freestyle (1:35.72) and third in the 100 freestyle (44.71) against Arizona and SMU
· Won the 100 freestyle (44.52) and placed fourth in the 200 freestyle (1:39.39) at Georgia

AS A FRESHMAN (2011-12)
• Claimed two NCAA Championships in the 400 freestyle relay (2:49.83) and 800 freestyle relay (6:15.55)
• Also picked up All-American honors in the 200 freestyle (5th, 1:34.06) and 200 freestyle relay (4th, 1:16.72)
• Won two Big 12 Championships in the 400 freestyle relay (2:52.64) and 800 freestyle relay (6:19.28) while also coming in second in the 200 freestyle (1:35.30) and seventh in the 500 freestyle (4:23.75)
• At the Texas Invitational, he took third in the 200 freestyle (1:35.30), fourth in the 500 freestyle (4:20.71), fifth in the 200 butterfly (1:46.49), 11th in the 100 freestyle (44.28) and 25th in the 50 freestyle (20.17)
• Earned second place in the 200 freestyle in four dual matches against Georgia, Auburn, Arizona and Texas A&M
• Won the 200 butterfly against SMU (1:49.31) while also taking second in the 50 freestyle (20.85)
• Took second place in the 100 freestyle at Texas A&M with a time of 44.72
• Competed in six different individual events throughout the season
• Won the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 6:22.94 at the Texas Invitational and earned a second place time of 2:52.33 in the 400 freestyle relay
BEFORE TEXAS
• Teamed up with future Longhorn teammate Kip Darmody to win gold for the USA in the 400m freestyle and medley relays at the 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Championships
• Won gold in the 200m freestyle with a meet-record time of 1:48.44 at the 2010 Junior Pan Pacific Championships, where he also won silver in the 100m freestyle
• Won the 200m freestyle (1:49.37) at the 2010 Speedo Junior National Championships
• Holds Michigan state high school records in the 50, 100, 200 and 500-yard freestyle events, in addition to the 100-yard butterfly
