AS A SOPHOMORE (2008)

• led the team in on-base percentage (.461) and ranked second in batting average (.348), hits (48), RBI (27) and walks (27)
• ranked second on the club in stolen bases (12-of-13) after having only three attempts in 2007 ... her seven steals in conference play tied for second in the Big 12
• opened the season with a four-game hit streak, amassing seven hits, three of which went for extra bases from Feb. 9 (UT San Antonio) to Feb. 13 (Texas State)
• hit a grand slam for her first homer of the season to lift UT to a 4-1 win over UNLV (Feb. 22)
• put together a five-game hitting streak, including a three-game home run streak from Feb. 22 versus UNLV to Feb. 24 against Stanford
• earned MVP honors at the Spring Fling Tournament by going 6-for-13 at the plate over six games, recording four RBI, three runs scored and four walks
• hit 1.000 during the week of March 16-22 in three games, going 6-for-6 at the plate with 2 RBI, a home run and five walks
• tagged her sixth longball of the season in a 2-for-3 performance at Iowa State, notching three RBI and plating two runs in a 10-0 win (March 29)

• headlined the Texas offense with a three-run, seventh inning home run that lifted UT to a 6-4 victory over St. John[apos]s (March 2)
• 4-for-4 in a 8-0 victory over Drake, driving in a pair of runs on a single before launching a game-ending solo home run
• had career single-game best, two home runs, four RBI and two runs scored in a 12-0 win over Oklahoma Christian (March 7)
• registered a 2-for-3 performance for her eighth multi-hit game of the season, including an RBI single that pushed Texas to a 6-1 win over UT San Antonio (March 22)

Played for Texas Rapid Fire Gold out of Flower Mound, Texas under head coach Brian Menefee ... the Fire Gold finished 25th at the 2005 Under-18 Gold Nationals.

A four-year varsity letterwinner at Carroll HS under head coach Mark Larriba ... a two-time first-team all-state selection ... named all-district and District Offensive Player of the Year her sophomore, junior and senior seasons ... Fort Worth Star-Telegram All-Northeast Tarrant County First Team, 2004-06 ... Dallas/Fort Worth All-Star Team and All-State All Star member in 2006 ... captured Fort Worth Star Telegram Super Team honors at third base in 2004 and again in 2006 ... garnered Dallas Morning News All-Area First Team accolades in 2004 and 2005 ... helped lead the Dragons to a regional semifinal birth in her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons ... named DeSoto High School Classic MVP honors in 2003 ... hit .500 as a senior after hitting at a .585 clip with eight home runs as a junior ... blasted first two grand slams in Carroll school history in 2003 ... 2005-06 Academic All-District.
