JUNIOR (2015)
Played in all 12 games at tight end, starting against West Virginia and Baylor, and on special teams … recorded eight receptions for 167 yards (20.9 ypc) and two TDs … recorded one tackle each against Rice and Iowa State … helped block for a rushing attack that ranked 18th in the nation and third in the Big 12 with 224.8 yards per game, including 263.0 ypg in the last seven … the offense also ranked 26th in the nation in red zone efficiency (.882) … part of an offense that was just the fourth at Texas since 1950 to record three games with six rushing TDs in a season … made his first career catch for eight yards against Rice … helped the offense post a season-high 650 total yards with 364 yards passing and 286 yards rushing with six rushing TDs versus Cal … caught a 29-yard pass against Oklahoma State … pulled in a two-yard TD pass and helped the offense rush for an Oklahoma opponent season-high of 313 yards … registered a 28-yard reception and helped the offense rush for 274 yards and three TDs against Kansas State, while allowing just one sack … had a five-yard reception and helped the offense to matching 299-yard rushing and passing marks for 598 yards total with six rushing TDs against Kansas, while allowing just one sack … registered a 30-yard catch and helped the offense post 277 rushing yards at West Virginia … recorded an eight-yard reception and helped the offense record 403 yards and six TDs on the ground versus Texas Tech, marking just the seventh 400-yard rushing game by Texas since 1980 … scored on a 57-yard TD reception on the opening series against Baylor.
SOPHOMORE (2014)
Saw action in the first 12 games before missing the bowl game with a knee injury … tied for fifth on the team in sacks (3.5) and ranked sixth in tackles for loss (7) … deflected a pass against UNT … had five tackles, including a half sack, in the BYU game … recorded a career-high six tackles, including one for a loss, against UCLA … earned the start against Kansas, recording five tackles, a pass breakup and a quarterback pressure … started vs. Baylor and had a career-high tying six tackles, including a sack … recorded two tackles against Oklahoma … had one quarterback pressure against Iowa State … made a career-high tying six stops, including a career-best three for a loss and one sack, against Kansas State … recorded two tackles against Texas Tech … tied a career high with six stops against West Virginia … recorded one sack against Oklahoma State.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2013)
Spent time as a tight end and defensive end … played in nine games, including one start at defensive end … opened the season as a defensive end before moving to tight end and then back to DE … saw time on special teams against Iowa State (his collegiate debut), Oklahoma, TCU, Kansas, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor, and Oregon … due to injuries moved to tight end for the Kansas State game and then back to defensive end before the Texas Tech contest … saw time as reserve defensive end vs. the Red Raiders, notching his first career tackle, including one for a loss and one sack, and a QB pressure … started at defensive end and posted one tackle vs. Oregon in the Alamo Bowl.
