Played in all 12 games and made two starts (UTEP, Oklahoma State) ... registered 16 tackles (12 solo) with two sacks for 20 yards lost ... played in the season opener against No. 10 Notre Dame and had one sack and one tackle for a loss ... recorded four tackles and a sack in the UTEP game ...had one total tackle against California ... started against OSU with two total tackles ... had three total tackles, two solo and one assist, against Iowa State ... had one tackle assist against Baylor ... had one solo tackle against Texas Tech ... was honored prior to the game against TCU on Senior Day.
JUNIOR (2015)
Played in nine games, missing the contests against Kansas, West Virginia and Texas Tech … recorded 15 tackles (11 solo), one forced fumble and one PBU … collected three tackles at Notre Dame … had one tackle against Rice … stepped in following a first-quarter targeting ejection versus Cal and had a career game with nine tackles (seven solo), one PBU and a forced fumble that halted a drive at the UT 10-yard line and led to a Texas FG drive … made one tackle at TCU … secured one tackle versus Oklahoma and was named the team’s special teams MVP.
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2014)
Played in 11 games … saw time on special teams in all games except UCLA and Kansas State … named special teams player of the week by the coaching staff for his performance against Oklahoma State.
SOPHOMORE (2013)
Served a redshirt season … missed the first nine games due to injury then did not see playing time against Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Baylor, or Oregon.
FRESHMAN (2012)
Played in 12 games on special teams … ranked tied for sixth on the team with four special teams tackles … saw his first-career action vs. New Mexico … made one special teams tackle vs. Ole Miss … had one tackle vs. Texas Tech. … posted one stop on special teams against Iowa State.
HIGH SCHOOL

Began playing football at age 10 … brother, Kenny, was a four-year letterman and two-time All-Big 12 safety at Texas (2009-13) … brother was selected 15th overall in the 2013 NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints … uncle, Anthony Johnson, played in the NFL with the Washington Redskins (1989-94), helping them to a victory in Super Bowl XXVI … uncle also played with the San Diego Chargers (1995) … participates in Fellowship of Christian Athletes … has volunteered in local nursing homes and with rebuilding houses with his church … enjoys hunting and fishing … majoring in applied learning and development.
