Played in and started all 13 games … part of a Texas OL that was named to the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll … helped protect QB Sam Ehlinger, who has accounted for 4,326 yards of total offense (No. 2 in school history) and 39 total touchdowns (No. 3) … played in key role in helping the UT offense score 35.2 points per game … contributed in helping Texas outrush West Virginia, 216-96 … part of an offensive line that helped RB Keaontay Ingram rush for a then-career-high 114 yards versus Oklahoma State, and then allowed true freshman RB Roschon Johnson to log a career-best 121 yards at West Virginia … Johnson rushed for 95 yards against No. 6 Oklahoma the following week, the most by a Longhorn true freshman against the Sooners since Jamaal Charles in 2005 … Ingram logged his second 100-yard game of the season against Kansas, marking UT’s fourth-straight game with a 95-yard rusher … was the first time during head coach Tom Herman’s tenure that the Longhorns had a 95-yard rusher in four-straight games … Ingram later rushed for a career-high 139 yards and two touchdowns behind the UT offensive line against No. 16 Kansas State … Johnson rushed for 105 yards and scored three touchdowns behind the Texas offensive line versus Texas Tech … blocked for a UT backfield that racked up 231 rushing yards against No. 11 Utah in the Valero Alamo Bowl … the Longhorns averaged 6.2 yards per carry against the Utes, well above the 2.7 ypc average that Utah allowed in its first 13 games of the season … Texas was one of only two teams to rush for more than 115 yards against Utah … marked the third time in 2019 that the Horns rushed for more than 230 yards … scored a 12-yard rushing touchdown at West Virginia … the first Texas offensive lineman with a rushing touchdown since UT’s individual stats are available, beginning in 1947 … just the third Big 12 offensive lineman to score a touchdown in league history … named to Pro Football Focus’ Eckrich Team of the Week after a dominant outing versus Louisiana Tech in the season opener … earned second-team All-Big 12 honors and was honorable mention for the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year … a first-team selection on PFF’s Big 12 Team of the Year … earned All-Bowl recognition from the Associated Press, ESPN and Sports Illustrated for his performance in the Valero Alamo Bowl versus No. 11 Utah.
