• Took second at the Big 12 Championships with a clearance of 17-2.75 (5.25m)
• Cleared 17-8.50 (5.40m) to take second place at the Texas Invitational
• Finished second at the Penn Relays with a pole vault of 17-4.50 (5.30m)
• Cleared 17-2.75 (5.25m) at Texas Twilight to finish second

• Coached by Fred Armstrong from 2004-07 at Clear Brook
• Won the 2007 UIL 5A State Championship with a clearance of 16-6 (5.03m) at Myers Stadium
• Posted an outdoor prep best of 17-1 (5.21m) in winning his fourth Texas District 24-5A pole vault championship in 2007
• Mark was the third highest in the nation during the 2007 high school outdoor season
• Captured two Region 3-5A titles, vaulting 16-0 in both 2006 and 2007
