AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
Singled in one of her three at-bats in the 3-2 (8 inn.) loss to No. 18/20 Arizona (March 12) ... During the 10-8 win over Samford (March 12) at the Maverick Classic, Bardwell went 2-for-3 with two RBIs ... Was 1-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI in the 15-1 (5 inn.) rout of Abilene Christian (February 25) ... Posted a .429 mark (3-for-7) with a double and a RBI while being hit by four pitches (.615 on-base percentage) during the Houston Hilton Plaza Invitational ... Hit .400 (4-for-10) with a run scored and a team-high-tying four RBIs at the Texas Classic during her first weekend of action on the Forty Acres ... Was 1-for-3 with a run and a RBI in the 7-6 victory over North Carolina (February 13), 2-for-4 in the 6-5 (8 inn.) rally past Arkansas (February 13) and was credited with a RBI on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the 3-2 win over North Dakota State (February 14) ... Her first Texas hit proved huge as the two-out, two-run single tied North Carolina (February 12) at 5-5 in the fifth during a game UT went on to win 6-5 (8 inn.).
NATIONALLY
Played club ball for TXFC and head coach Connie May ... During her time with the squad, Bardwell played in the Colorado Fireworks All-Star Game and traveled to play games in Australia.
BEFORE TEXAS
Another two-sport athlete, this time in softball and basketball at Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas, Bardwell posted a .348 batting average over her first three high school seasons with 67 runs scored, 79 hits, 31 extra-base hits including 16 HR’s, 27 walks and 59 RBIs while posting a 1.063 OPS over 79 career contests ... In being named second-team All-Greater Houston Area and one of Vype Magazine’s “Top 100 Players to Watch” as a sophomore, Bardwell hit at a career-best .403 clip in 2013 with eight HR’s and 24 RBIs while being named District 22-3A Most Valuable Player ... The 5-10 utility infielder/catcher batted .362 with seven HR’s and 24 RBI during her junior campaign on the way to receiving TXSWA Class 3A Honorable Mention All-State honors, a mention in Vype Magazine’s “Preseason Top 20 Softball Players for 2014” and first-team all-district accolades while helping lead her team to the Class 3A Region Championship for the first time and finishing the year at 30-6 overall with a berth in the state semifinals ... On the hardwood, Bardwell was a multiple time all-district and all-tournament team choice while helping Hargrave H.S. to numerous playoff berths.
