A two-sport athlete in softball and volleyball at Mary Carroll (TX) High School ... Quiroga was ranked No. 142 in Extra Inning Softball’s Class of 2021 Player Rankings … during her 2021 senior campaign, Quiroga was tabbed to the South Texas Preseason Large School Softball All-Star Team, to both the TXSWA and TGCA 5A All-State squads and to the All-South Texas First Team for the second time after batting .556 with seven home runs, 50 hits and 46 runs batted in (RBI), while also posting 25 pitching wins, a 3.11 earned run average (ERA) and 143 strikeouts … a 2019 All South Texas First Team choice as well as the 2019 District 30-5A Most Valuable Player, Quiroga hit .436 as a junior with 17 extra-base hits, 26 runs batted in and a 1.472 on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) while leading her team to its second straight district title (2018, 2019) … during her sophomore campaign, she batted at a .439 clip with 43 hits, eight doubles and 23 runs batted in, while going 24-10 in the circle with a 2.20 ERA, 13 shutouts and 202 strikeouts, on the way to 2018 TXSWA 5A All-State Honorable Mention, District 30-5A Newcomer of the Year and All-South Texas Second Team honors ...
