2022-23 (Senior):
OUTDOOR:Opened his outdoor season at the Payton Jordan Invitational winning the 800m with his time of 1:47.62... Finished third in the 800m at the Big 12 Championships with his time of 1:46.71 and finished fourth in the 1500m with a time of 3:43.60... Reach the NCAA Championships in the 800m and finished ninth.
INDOOR: Won the 800m at the Cardinal Classic with his time of 1:48.65 to open up his indoor season... Broke Jonathan Jones' 2022 800m program record with a win at the John Thomas Terrier Classic with his time of 1:46.28 to break the facility record, set a new PB and lead the NCAA... Ran the Texas program record in the mile at the David Hemery Valentine Invite with his time of 3:56.79... Defended his Big 12 800 title with a time of 1:48.52 and also added a bronze medal finish in the mile with a time of 3:59.77...Was the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships 800m runner-up with his time of 1:47.66 behind teammate Yusuf Bizimana...
CROSS COUNTRY: Made his season debut at the Big 12 Championships, finishing the 8K in 25:53.4 to help Texas to a third-place team finish.
2021-22 (Junior):
OUTDOOR: Finished third in the 800m at the Texas Relays with a personal-best time of 1:46.89... Ran the anchor leg of the winning 4xmile at Penn Relays (16:17.45) becoming the third-ever team in Texas history to win the event… Competed in the 1500m for the first time this season, running a PB time of 3:40.16 and climbed to the No. 5 performer in UT history… Finished third in both the 800m and 1500m at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships where Texas won the team title and competed in the 1500m at the NCAA West Prelims.
INDOOR: Helped the Longhorns win and post an NCAA-leading DMR time of 9:37.58 to take down the Clemson facility record at the Clemson Invitational to start the season... Won the men's 800m with the NCAA's third-fastest time and meet record time of 1:48.40 at the Red Raider Open with the No. 5 Performance in Texas history... Ran the first sub-four minute mile of the season for any Longhorn at the Camel City Invitational at 3:58.96, finishing as the No. 6 performer in Texas history with the eighth-best performance... Claimed the 800m title with a time of 1:47.22, the second-fastest time in program history and added a second-place finish in the mile behind his teammate with a time of 3:59.99 to score 18 points at conference... Was part of the NCAA Champion DMR team and finished seventh in the men's mile to help Texas win its first ever NCAA Team Title.
2020-21 (Sophomore)
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in his first cross country meet of the season, competing in the men's 8K at the FSU Invite and was the third Longhorn to finish with a personal-best time of 23:46.3, shedding 49 seconds off his previous best.... Was the fourth Longhorn to finish the 8K at the Big 12 Championships helping Texas to a third-place finish for the fourth season in a row with his time of 24:53.1... Helped No. 13 Texas finish 14th at the NCAA Championships - matching its best performance since 2013 - with his time of 31:14.7 in the 10K.
2019-20 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Ran four times … debuted with a 3.59.82 mile and a fourth-place finish at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston … made him the fifth-fastest indoor miler in school history (No. 9 performance) … also only the sixth Longhorn to ever break the four-minute mark indoors … finished third with a 1:50.21 in the 800m at the Razorback Invitational … also helped the Longhorns take second in the DMR … placed seventh in the mile at 4:00.11 in the 2020 Husky Classic … clocked a 1:50.25 in the 800m final at the Big 12 Championships to finish in fifth place.
CROSS COUNTRY: Competed in five meets … made his collegiate debut at the Bill Dellinger Invitational in September, clocking a 25:05.9 on the 8K course … finished 34th overall, clocking 24:36.3 on the 8K course at the Chile Pepper Festival … dropped a personal-best 8K time of 24:23.8 and finished 23rd overall at the Big 12 Championships … scored a 12th-place finish to earn All-Region honors at the NCAA South Central Regional … raced in the NCAA Championships.
PERSONAL: Son of Paul and Shiela Carrozza … both parents ran at Abilene Christian … mother, Shiela, was a member of Team USA at the 1993 IAAF World Championships in Stuttgart, Germany … father, Paul, was his high school coach … has one brother, Coby, and one sister, Quinn … brother, Coby, is a competitive swimmer and sister, Quinn, swam at The University of Texas … lettered four times in cross country and twice in swimming at St. Stephens High School in Austin … graduated with honors and made the honor roll three times.
