Outdoor:
• Won the decathlon and set a facility record with 7,367 pts at the Big 12 Championship.
• Set personal best in javelin taking 4th place during Longhorn Invitational at 64.44m (211-5).
Indoor:
• 4th place in heptathlon at Big 12 Championships with 5,447 pts
• Competed at New Mexico Collegiate Classic
2013-14
Outdoor:
• Runner-up in decathlon at NCAA Championships with score of 8,092 points
• Posted score of 7,573 points to finish third in decathlon during Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
• Competed in three open events at Big 12 Championships (long jump, 110m hurdles and discus) finished sixth in the discus with personal best throw of 181-1, 10th in long jump and 14th in hurdles
• Posted personal best at NCAA Championship in long jump and posted the top marks during decathlon in 100m, long jump and discus
Indoor:
• Finished seventh in long jump at Big 12 Championships with leap of 23-11.75
• Took ninth in 60m hurdles at Big 12 meet in 8.18 seconds
• Won B section of 60m hurdles at New Mexico Collegiate Invitational in 8.33 seconds
• Claimed fourth in long jump at same meet at 24-1.75
2012-13
Outdoor:
• Established himself as one of the elite decathletes in the country
• Named one of 10 men’s semifinalists for The Bowerman (6/17)
• National champion in the decathlon, totaling 8,267 points at the NCAA meet
• That mark ranks No. 9 on the all-time collegiate list and second in school history, trailing only Trey Hardee’s collegiate record (8,465) set at the 2006 Texas relays
• He joined Tito Steiner of BYU (1977) as the only freshmen to win the NCAA decathlon crowns Hardee is the only other Longhorn to win the NCAA decathlon
• Took over first place at the NCAA decathlon after posting the top mark in event No. 7, the discus, with a toss of 166 feet (50.61m), though that was off his personal-best of 176-8 (53.85m) set at the 2013 Big 12 meet
• Set career bests in the 100m (10.69w), high jump (6-5/1.96m) and 1,500m (4:37.90) in his title run
• Also took home the conference championship in the decathlon, collecting a career-best 8,293 points, the seventh-best total in collegiate history
• It was also the best collegiate mark since Ashton Eaton, the 2012 Olympic champion, posted a meet-record 8,457 at the 2010 NCAA Championships
• Broke Moritz Cleve’s (Kansas State) meet record (8,004) from the 2009 Big 12 Championships his Big 12 total ranked No. 15 on the 2014 world performers list
• Posted the best mark in seven events at Big 12s (all but high jump, 110mh and javelin)
• Set four other career bests at the Big 12 Championships including the long jump (24-5.75/7.46m), shot put (50-6.25/15.40m), 400m (49.80) and javelin (208-9/63.63m)
• Named the Big 12 Outdoor Outstanding Freshman of the Year, the first Longhorn to earn the honor since Jamaal Charles (2006) and fifth overall (also Amar Johnson, 1999; Andra Manson, 2005; Leo Manzano, 2005)
• Named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Athlete of the Week (5/6) for his performance in the Big 12 meet
• Was fourth in the javelin at the Texas Relays (204-6/62.34m)
Indoor:
• Earned All-America honors after finishing sixth in the heptathlon at the NCAA Championships with a career-best total of 5,873 points which ranks No. 6 on the UT all-time performance list and No. 4 on the performers chart
• Had personal bests of 7.03 in the 60m, 8.28 in the 60mh and 2:46.62 in the 1,000m at the national meet
• Became the fourth Longhorn to score in the heptathlon at the NCAA meet, joining Donovan Kilmartin (won in 2004, 2006 and 2007, second in 2005), Trey Hardee (third in 2005) and Petter Olson (seventh in 2012)
• Captured the Big 12 heptathlon title with a total of 5,858 points, the fifth-best total in the nation during the regular season and No. 8 on the school’s all-time performance list
• Led from start to finish and became the sixth Longhorn to win a conference heptathlon crown posted the top mark in four of the seven events
• Had career bests of 51-1 (15.57m) in the shot put, 6-4 (1.93m) in the high jump and 16-1.75 (4.92m) in the pole vault at the Big 12 meet
• Clocked a personal-best 50.28 in the 400m at the Armory Collegiate Invitational

• Won the bronze medal in the decathlon at the 2011 European Junior Championships
• Posted a career-best total of 7,884 in the decathlon at Hannover, Germany in Aug., 2012
• Won the decathlon at the 2012 Under-23 German Championships

• Participated in the decathlon at the 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships
