Dominique Dillingham enters her third season on the Texas Women's Basketball staff and her second season as the Director of Player Development after serving as the teams' video coordinator in 2020-21.
In her current role, oversee all student-athlete community outreach initiatives for the program as well as academic support initiatives.
In 2021-22, the Longhorns put together a historic 2021-22 campaign, culminating in the program claiming its first Big 12 Championship Title since 2003 and making a second-consecutive run to the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament.
UT finished the season 29-7 overall, which marked its highest win total since the 2015-16 season, and finished as the No. 6-ranked team in the county in the final Associated Press Top-25 poll, its highest finish since the 2003-04 season.
In 2020-21, Texas made a magical run through the NCAA Tournament, that included victories over No. 2-seed Maryland, No. 3-seed UCLA and No. 11-seed Bradley
Prior to Texas Dillingham has spent three seasons as part of the Mississippi State staff, including the past two as Video Coordinator. .
Dillingham joined the staff after wrapping her four-year playing career in Starkville as part of Vic Schaefer’s first MSU signing class that claimed its then-school record 111th-career win in the program’s Final Four upset of UConn that halted the Huskies’ collegiate-record 111-game win streak and won State the ESPY for Best Upset.
During her MSU career, Dillingham helped the Bulldogs reach new heights. She helped MSU set program records for both overall and SEC wins each of the last three seasons. The team also finished third in the SEC her sophomore season and second her junior and senior years. Her final two seasons in Maroon and White saw the Bulldogs reach the SEC Tournament championship game.
Dillingham and her classmates put MSU back into the postseason for the first time since 2010, taking Mississippi State to the WNIT quarterfinals as a freshman before leading MSU to the NCAA Tournament her final three seasons. After guiding the Bulldogs to the Sweet 16 in 2016, she capped her career by helping take MSU to the national championship game in the program’s first Final Four appearance.
The Spring, Texas, native played in 139-career games and started 119 times at Mississippi State and averaged 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game. She wrapped her four years 25th at MSU in career scoring with 1,013 points and fourth with 210 steals.
Known for her lockdown defense, Dillingham, who took 131-career charges, was named to the SEC All-Defensive Team each of the last two years. She also claimed Associated Press All-SEC Honorable Mention following a junior season (2015-16) in which she averaged 7.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game.
Dillingham was also a standout in the classroom, earning SEC Academic Honor Roll accolades all four years. She was also MSU’s nominee for the SEC Boyd-McWhorter Scholarship and a nominee for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
