Became the first Longhorns player to earn Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors ... Finished tied for second in goals (10) and was first in both assists (nine) and points (29) in the Big 12 Conference stats ... Played in all 21 matches with 19 starts while reaping 1,379 minutes of playing time ... Became the first Longhorns player to ever score five goals in the first four matches of the season with a 19th-minute strike to begin a 2-1 victory over Long Beach State (Aug. 30) ... Dealt with an injury in the postseason that limited her to just 18 minutes off the bench in NCAA First Round play against Virginia Tech (Nov. 9) ... Guided the Longhorns with four shots (one on goal) during the NCAA Sweet 16 loss at No. 3 Duke (Nov. 19) ... FRESHMAN (2016)
Was named the Big 12 Conference’s Freshman of the Year, All-Big 12 Second Team and Big 12 All-Freshman after scoring two goals and totaling four points in 2016 ... Played in 13 matches with 12 starts in 2016, totaling 1005 minutes while leading the Longhorns in shots (46) and shots on goal (19) ... Tied for the team lead with two shots on goal and played all 90 minutes during the 1-0 loss to No. 1 West Virginia (Oct. 23) ... Totaled a career-high seven shots, three on frame, in the 2-0 shutout of rival Texas Tech (Oct. 21) ... Was credited with four attempts (two on goal) in 84 minutes at Iowa State (Oct. 14) ... Registered five shots, two on frame, during both the 2-1 (2OT) loss to Oklahoma State (Sept. 30) and a 1-0 defeat to Kansas (Oct. 2) ... Pushed UT in front, just 8:23 into the eventual 2-1 (2OT) loss at Oklahoma (Sept. 25), by registering her first career Big 12 goal (second career goal) ... Fired one shot in 89 minutes during the 1-1 (2OT) tie at Baylor (Sept. 23) ... Scored her first career goal, on a 25-yard strike just 9:38 in to set the right tone, during the Longhorns’ 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten UCSB (Sept. 18) and fired six total shots, three on frame, over 70 minutes ... Started her initial career Texas match at Miami (OH) (Sept. 11) and registered two shots (one on frame) as the Longhorns shutout the RedHawks, 2-0 ... Earned her first career playing time on the Forty Acres by entering in the 25th minute of the eventual 2-1 (OT) loss at No. 19 Ohio State (Sept. 9) and managing two shots (one on goal) over 62 minutes of action ... Missed Texas’ first five matches of the season because of a lower leg injury suffered in preseason training camp.
INTERNATIONAL
Hintzen spent time as part of the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team training camps held in Carson, Calif., over Oct. 3-10, 2015, and at Lakewood Ranch, Fla., from Jan. 23-30, 2016 ... Earned caps as a member of the U.S. U-19 Women's National Team that traveled to New Zealand in June of 2016, scoring goals during both a 4-4 draw and a 4-1 win over the New Zealand Under-20 National Team.

During her club soccer career, she played for Antonio “Tatu” Pecorari with the Dallas Sting ECNL.
HIGH SCHOOL
A prolific scorer at Sachse H.S., Hintzen combined to total a Garland ISD record 108 goals and 52 assists for 268 total points … While helping Sachse to the Class 6A Region playoffs as a senior in 2016 with a 21-1-1 overall record, Hintzen totaled 22 goals and nine assists on her way to earning first team Top Drawer Soccer TeamSnap Winter All-American, All-Region and Texas State Star honors, the nod as the 2016 Texas Gatorade State Player of the Year as well as first team Dallas Morning News and her second career District 11-6A Most Valuable Player accolade … During a prolific junior campaign, she scored 46 goals and delivered 19 helpers on her way to receiving her first MVP nod in District 11-6A as well as the Sachse Offensive MVP award … On the volleyball court, Hintzen reaped an All-District 11-6A Honorable Mention nod.

Born on Oct. 28, 1997 … Parents are Derek Hintzen and Melynda Vandiver … Has one sibling, Jayden … Hails from an athletic family as her mom played soccer at Missouri, her uncle Byron Sneed played football at Alabama (1987-91), her cousin Richard Soanes played soccer at Clemson and her grandmother Marsha Thomas played volleyball and softball at West Texas State … Chose to attend Texas over an impressive list of schools that included SMU, Arkansas, TCU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, San Diego State, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and UCLA … Cites getting called up to participate in the U.S. Under-19 Women’s National Team as her greatest personal athletic achievement to date.
