U.S. NATIONAL TEAM
· Traveled to Spain with the U.S. Under-23 National Team in 2008.
· Member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team in 2006 and the Under-17 National Team in both 2003 and 2004 who also served as a team captain in her second season... member of the 2002 Under-16 national squad.
· Part of the U.S. Under-19 (2003-05) & 20 National Team pools (2005).
JUNIOR (2007)
· Garnered third team NSCAA/adidas All-America honors becoming just the second Longhorn to nab multiple All-America honors (first team, 2006).
· Anchored the UT backline that posted its second straight 10-shutout season, tying the single-season record set in 2006.
· Leading scorer during Big 12 play with three goals and two assists for eightpoints...third leading scorer overall with nine goals and four assists.
· Led the squad in minutes (2,353) and game-winning goals (5).
· Helped Texas to back-to-back Big 12 Postseason Championships, heading in the game winner off a free kick from goalkeeper and offensive MVP Dianna Pfenninger...also tallied an assist on Emily Anderson[apos]s goal in the 2-1 win over top-seeded Texas A&M (11/11).
· Recorded five points in UT[apos]s 3-2 overtime win over No. 12 Missouri (10/19)...had a part in all three goals, assisting Niki Arlitt on the first goal of the night and netting the game-tying and game winning balls.
· Aided the Longhorn backline in shutting out UTSA (9/14) and Houston (9/21)...also contributed on the offensive side of the ball with goals in each match.
· Registered a goal in the 2-1 victory No. 2 UCLA, the highest ranked opponent a Texas squad has defeated.
SOPHOMORE (2006)
· Earned the distinct honor as the first NSCAA/adidas First Team All-American in Texas history.
· Helped UT break the single season record for shutouts (10) and post the lowest goals against average (0.77) in Longhorn history... soccer team MVP.
· Leading scorer among UT defenders and fourth overall on the 2006 roster... netted four goals and two assists for 10 points.
· Scored the game-winning goal in 1-0 upset over No. 5 Texas A&M (10/27)... marked the second consecutive season in which she has scored a goal against A&M... goal gave UT its first back-to-back wins over the Aggies in school history... named Big 12 Defensive Performer of the Week (10/30), and Soccer America magazine National Player of the Week for her game-winning goal against Texas A&M.
· Had her first assist of the season and second of her career versus Cal State Fullerton (9/17).
· Had a career point high (3) with first goal and second assist of season in 7-0 victory over Sam Houston State (10/13).
FRESHMAN (2005)
· One of only two Longhorns and the only freshman to start all 21 games.
· UT[apos]s fifth-leading scorer and top scoring defender with 11 points on five goals and one assist... also placed fifth on the club in both shots (43) and game-winning goals (1).
· Surpassed UT[apos]s single-season mark for scoring by a defender (11 pts.).
· Finished fifth on the team in league scoring with four points off two goals.
· Helped the Horns[apos] defense post seven shutouts as a center back.
· Aided the UT defense in posting back-to-back shutouts versus SMU (8/26) and Auburn (8/28) ... against the Tigers, scored her first career goal, which proved to be the game-winner... tabbed Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (8/29) and named to the Soccer America Team of the Week (8/31).
· Scored on a second-half penalty kick against No. 13 Texas A&M (10/2).
· Netted her fourth goal of the year and aided in creating an own goal that proved to be the game-winning score at Missouri (10/21).
· Registered her fifth goal of the year against No. 23 Colorado (11/4) during Big 12 Tournament play to ignite a UT comeback and record her first career postseason points... also earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors for her play against the Buffs and Iowa State (11/2).
· Picked up an assist versus UTEP (11/11) during NCAA Tournament first round action.
CLUB
· Played for the Cal South State ODP Team (2001-05) and the Region IV OPD squad (2002-05).
· A 2004 & 2005 Parade High School All-American and two-time NSCAA/adidas All-American Youth Team selection (2004-05).
· Played for the LHSC Eclipse Club Team under the direction of head coach Abner Rogers from 1997-2005 and helped the squad claim the 2002 Under-15 Snickers National Championship and finish the 2005 campaign ranked second nationally among Under-18 teams.
HIGH SCHOOL
· A four-year starter and letterwinner for head coach Aguinaldo Ferreira[apos]s Capistrano Valley High School soccer team (2001-05)... earned a varsity letter in track and field as a sophomore.
· Helped her team win the Division I CIF High School Championship in 2004 after reaching the semifinals in 2003 and the finals in 2002.
· An All-County and All-League honoree as a midfielder during her freshman and sophomore years.
· Chosen as the All-CIF-SS Player of the Year as a junior while also garnering South Coast League MVP honors, Orange County Register Player of the Year accolades and Los Angeles Times First-Team laurels.
· Also earned her soccer team[apos]s coaches award in her first two seasons before claiming school MVP honors in both 2004 and 2005.
· Co-captained her high school team as senior.
· Tabbed a first-team All-County, All-League and All-CIF-SS performer as well as Capistrano[apos]s MVP and Athlete of the Year in 2005.
· Named Who[apos]s Who Among American High School Athletes (2002-04).
· Included on the Principals Honor Roll as a freshman.
PERSONAL
Born Kasey Ann Moore on Aug. 3, 1987, in Riverside, Calif. ... parents are Jim and Leslie Moore ... has two older brothers, Jason and Aaron, and an older sister, Kristen, who graduated from the University of Portland and played soccer for the Pilots from 2001-05 ... majoring in sport management...recipient of the UT Women[apos]s Athletics 2006-07 Isabella Cunningham/Jean Kaspar Scholarship for Leadership, Team Spirit and Excellence.
OFF-FIELD WITH KASEY MOORE
Full name: Kasey Ann Moore
I chose UT because... I wanted to go somewhere outside of California and really loved the University when I came to visit.
Favorite thing about Austin is... the food and overall atmosphere of the city.
Goals for the season: to win the Big 12 regular season and tournament championship. Then win the National Championship.
Favorite book: Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult and anything by John Grisham
Favorite quote or motto: Life[apos]s not about the destination, it[apos]s about the journey!
Something on my iPod/CD rotation that would surprise people: Bob Marley
Most interesting thing I did this summer: Traveled to Germany and Sweden with the U-23 national team.
My hidden talent is: cooking.
