Career
• Helped guide the Longhorns to consecutive appearances at the College World Series (CWS) during each of his two seasons on the Forty Acres while also aiding UT to the 1992 Southwest Conference (SWC) Championship as well as a runner-up league finish in 1993.
• Amassed a batting average of .338 during his career, which ranks among the top 25 all-time in school history.
• Shined defensively as a junior in 1992 by committing only two errors in 588 chances (.997 fielding percentage) while playing in 63 of 65 total games and amassing a .286 batting average.
• Hit .333 during his CWS debut in 1992 while belting two home runs and accounting for seven RBI over four games as the Longhorns advanced to the CWS semifinals.
• Posted Texas' highest batting average (.385) while also leading the team in hits (97) and game-winning RBI (9) en route to earning second-team All-America honors and aiding the Longhorns to a 51-16 overall record during his senior season in 1993.
• Earned SWC All-Tournament Team laurels after going a combined 7-for-15 (.467) with three runs scored, nine RBI and three doubles during the Longhorns four tournament games.
• Ranks second on UT's all-time list for total bases in a game with 12 after accomplishing that feat two times during his senior campaign. After going 4-for-5 with two home runs and one triple en route to scoring four runs and tallying six RBI against Howard Payne (3/2/1993), he turned in a 4-for-4 performance with two home runs, two doubles and five RBI versus Emporia State (3/22/1993).
• Selected in the 14th round of the 1993 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft (No. 385 overall) by the Kansas City Royals.
