POST-ROUND QUOTES
HEAD COACH Martha Richards
On Wednesday's extremely windy conditions in Albuquerque: The only tournament I can remember comparable to this is when I was an assistant coach at Texas and we played the Big 12 Championship in Lubbock,Texas, and we could hardly see anything because of the dust and the wind.We often play in the wind in Austin at the UT Golf Club, but that's nothing compared to this. Obviously, it affects how you have to hit the ball and it affects club selection and can make that a challenge.
On how playing the remainder of the second round on Thursday will affect the team: We come into every tournament with the mentality that we have to be ready to adapt to your surroundings, no matter what.As a group, we need to be an adaptable, breathable box, and we've got to be ready to go.That goes for tomorrow's second round that we'll start at 7 a.m.We have to be ready for anything, so if that means we've got to start the rest of our second round at 7 a.m., then we need to get excited about that round and be ready to play it.
