On maintaining intensity while holding a big lead: Just keep putting fresh bodies in. We have so much versatility, so it's really motivating to be able to go to your bench and have them get some at bats. It keeps everybody fired up and it feels like everybody's contributing.
On the pitching performances of Desiree Williams and Courtney Craig: They were great. Finally I said, we're going to have to give Dez a start to be able to see her go consecutive innings. It worked out well for us tonight to get all the pitchers work. That was the goal going in, but obviously you have to see how the flow of the game goes. But we were able to accomplish that and all of them did a nice job.
On the recent play of catcher Amy Hooks: Hooks is a joy to be around. She's just so "go-with-the-flow" with her personality and it shows up at the plate. She doesn't take anything too seriously. She doesn't get upset about anything, she just gets reset on the next pitch pretty quickly and has a great approach.

On catching for five pitchers in one night: It was good. We switch a lot in the bullpen at practice, so we're always staying caught up with all the pitchers and their strengths. I talk to them in between innings and before they go out there to make sure what's working, what feels good. We always stay on top of the pitchers, no matter who's going out there.
On whether she feels more pressure on offense after winning Big 12 Player of the Week honors: Not really because I don't pay attention to all that. I'm just trying to keep the team up and keep working on offense. Across the board, our offense has just been outstanding these past couple games. We just have to keep rolling with that and keep working hard in practice.
On maintaining intensity while holding a big lead: We try not to look at the scoreboard and let that score [affect us]. We just want to keep on fighting and have some fun out here, but stay focused and keep hitting the ball.
