TEAM NOTES
- UT is now 4-1 on the season with the loss.
- Texas leads the all-time series with Oklahoma 59-42-5 after today's game. The rivalry game has been played in Dallas 91 times with the Longhorns holding a 49-38-4 advantage.
- The Longhorns are now 127-127-8 when playing a ranked opponent. UT has a 105-73-5 mark when playing in games in which both teams are ranked in the top 25. As the lower ranked team they are 34-41-3. In its last 30 games against top 25 teams, Texas is 21-9.
- Mack Brown now holds an 83-23 all-time record in Big 12 games. Texas has a 52-14 record in its last 66 Big 12 games.
- In five games, Texas has still yet to allow a touchdown in the first quarter. The Longhorns have allowed five field goals but have not allowed the opponent to cross the goal line. Oklahoma had scored a touchdown in the first 15 minutes in each of its first four games.
- The second quarter interception by David Ash was the first interception thrown in three games for the Longhorns. Ash and Case McCoy had combined for 68 attempts without an interception prior to this game.
- Fozzy Whittaker's 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown matched the longest return for a touchdown in school history. Johnny "Lam" Jones also had a 100-yard kickoff return for a score against SMU in 1978. It is the 15th kickoff return for a score in school history and eighth during the Mack Brown era. The last came in 2009 when Marquise Goodwin took one back 95 yards against Texas A&M. It is the second time a Texas player has returned a kickoff for a touchdown against Oklahoma, the other a 96-yard return by Jordan Shipley in 2008.
- UT now has 78 non-offensive touchdowns since 1999, the second most in the nation during that span.

- UT is now 83-23 in Big 12 Conference play
- UT is now 67-24 in games away from home (road and neutral sites).
- UT is now 21-23 when trailing at the half
- UT is now 11-27 when trailing after three quarters
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
David Ash
- Ash's 4-yard TD pass in the fourth quarter was the third of the season for the true freshman.
Malcolm Brown
- True freshman Malcolm Brown has led the team in rushing in all five games this season. He recorded a team-high 54 yards on 17 carries in this contest.
Calvin Howell
- Howell notched his first sack of the season and second of his career. He is one of six different Texas players with a sack this season.
Blaine Irby
- A five-yard reception in the first quarter gave Irby his first catch in three years. Irby missed the 2009 and 2010 seasons due to injury after catching 10 passes in 2008 as a sophomore. He finished the game with two receptions for 12 yards.
Jackson Jeffcoat
- Jeffcoat tallied two tackles for loss to give him three tackles for loss on the season.
Christian Scott
- Scott recorded his first forced fumble of the season and the fourth of his career in the fourth quarter.
Jaxon Shipley
- Shipley's 4-yard TD reception at the end of the fourth quarter was the third of the season for the freshman and marked his second consecutive game with a TD reception.
- Shipley led the team with nine catches for 89 yards. He ended the day with 25 receptions for 369 receiving yards on the season which both rank fifth on Texas' freshman single-season list.
- Shipley also moved into the top five for single-season receptions by a freshman. His 25 catches are fifth-most.
- Shipley's nine receptions are tied for the second highest single-game total for a UT freshman, two shy of Mike Davis' record of 11 set last season against Kansas State.
Justin Tucker - Tucker made a season-long 46-yard field goal for UT's first points of the game. It was his first attempt over 40 yards this season. He is now 7-of-8 this year and 30-of-35 (.857) for his career on field goals.
- He also booted a season-long 54-yard punt, topping his previous best of 50 yards against BYU.
Josh Turner
- Turner recorded his first career fumble recovery in the fourth quarter.
Foswhitt Whittaker
- Whittaker went over 1,000 career rushing yards in the first quarter, becoming the 46th player in school history to reach the mark. He now has 1,031 career rushing yards. He passed Graylon Wyatt (1,008 - 1974-75, 77) and Ray Bornerman (1,005 - 1948-49) on the school's career list to move into 44th place.
- Whittaker notched his first career game with 100 or more all-purpose yards. His previous best was 94 yards in last season's finale against Texas A&M.
- A 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Whittaker in the second quarter matched the longest return for a score in school history. It was the 15th kickoff return for a touchdown in school history. Whittaker has now scored 12 career touchdowns, including 10 rushing, one receiving and one on today's kickoff return.
