- Texas and Kent State will play on Monday at 1 pm Central with a trip to the NCAA Super Regional on the line.
- The official attendance for the regional's sixth session was 5,601.

Team Notes:
- Texas' win moved its all-time mark in NCAA Regional play to 133-51-1 (52nd NCAA Regional appearance)
- The Horns own a 77-22 mark all-time in NCAA Regional play at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
Individual Notes:
- Erich Weiss' two-hit effort against Kent state marked his 20th multi-hit game of the season.
- Nathan Thornhill's seven strikeouts in his 3.2 innings of work set a new season high for the freshman righthander.
- Tant Shepherd's three walks against KSU tied a season-high for the senior first baseman.
- Kendal Carillo tossed the final 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to pick up his first career save.
- Kevin Lusson's three-run home run in the ninth was his second home run of the season and his second of the regional. Lusson leads all players at the NCAA Austin Regional with seven RBI.

- Kent State's loss moved its all-time mark in NCAA Regional play to 9-13 (12th NCAA Regional appearance).
- The Golden Flashes are making their second NCAA Regional finals appearance in program history (2001).
Individual Notes:
- Kent State starter David Starn allowed six runs against the Longhorns, marking the most runs he has allowed this season.
- Starn's three strikeouts pushed his 2011 total to 117 and moved him into a tie with Andy Sonnanstine (2004) for the top single-season mark in program history.
- Ben Klafczynski's three-hit performance was his team-best 28th multi-hit game of the season and his second three-hit game of the regional.
