The win marked Texas' 25th consecutive victory in the all-time series between the in-state rivals. It was also the Longhorns' fourth sweep in the last five matches, including 3-0 victories over LSU (Oct. 5) and Big 12 Conference opponents TCU (Sept. 25) and Oklahoma (Sept. 28).

Post-match Quotes
Texas Head coach Jerritt Elliott
Opening Statement: Well, you are always pleased with a win. I think it is important some nights you are not going to be playing your best volleyball, and our team tried to figure it out as the match went along. We worked hard on it, and I thought we got a lot better. Some of the things we are seeing here numbers-wise, this was the best production we had all season long. But, when we are doing all of the work both offensively and defensively in terms of making errors, it is a challenge. We scored more than 50 percent of their points by mistakes we made on our side of the net. So, we have got to do a better job of that. I think it is concentration and being a little bit better prepared from the beginning of the match, but, we will regroup tomorrow and get back. It has been a tough week, and now we have to focus on playing at Kansas.
Sophomore MB Sara Hattis
On getting the most out of the opportunity to play: I am trying to, that is what the coaches are expecting me to do, trying to go in and make plays. I am enjoying myself, I hope my teammates are enjoying me out there, it has been great and I am just going to keep working hard and try to keep doing what I am doing.
Senior S Hannah Allison
On lifting the team with her play today: It was a little flat going in, and I think sometimes we start matches and just try too hard a little bit, which sometimes results in a lot of hitting errors consecutively. Sometimes just a change in a lineup, even one person, regardless of how they are contributing to the match, because I think Chloe was playing well. I think that sometimes a change, or a different look, or different vibe just gets people to get it out of their head and move on and think about the match, and luckily that worked out for us tonight.
