• With four wins thus far in the 2013 season, head coach Jerritt Elliott is just one victory shy of reaching his 300th at Texas (13th season) and the 350th of his career (15th season) ... the 2012 AVCA National Coach of the Year holds an all-time record of 349-92 (.791) and is 299-80 (.789) at the helm of the UT program.
• Texas was ranked No. 1 in the preseason AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll (Aug. 12) for the first time in program history ... through Week No. 2 of the 2013 season, the Longhorns have appeared in the Top 10 of the AVCA poll for 103 of the last 107 weeks ... Texas has been ranked in the AVCA Top 25 for 142 consecutive week, dating back to 2004.
• A trio of Longhorns were seeing double in last weekend's pair of wins over Penn State and Stanford ... freshman setter Chloe Collins recorded double-doubles in both matches, while sophomore libero/outside hitter Amy Neal did the same against the Nittany Lions and senior setter Hannah Allison joined the double-double club when facing the Cardinal.
• Following Texas' appearance in the State Farm Classic this weekend, it returns home to host No. 12/12 Nebraska on Sept. 22 at 1 p.m. ... the former Big 12 rivals will meet for the first time since Oct. 27, 2010, when the Longhorns recorded their 17th victory in the all-time series between the perennial powers with a 3-1 win over the then-No. 2 Cornhuskers.
