• With a 3-2 win over No. 14 Illinois last weekend at the Illini Classic, head coach Jerritt Elliott reached his 300th victory at Texas (13th season) and the 350th of his career (15th season) ... the 2012 AVCA National Coach of the Year holds an all-time record of 350-93 (.790) and is 300-81 (.787) while at the helm of the UT program.
• Texas was ranked No. 1 in the preseason AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 Poll (Aug. 12) for the first time in program history ... through Week No. 3 of the 2013 season, the Longhorns have appeared in the Top 10 of the AVCA poll for 104 of the last 108 weeks ... Texas has been ranked in the AVCA Top 25 for 143 consecutive week, dating back to 2004.
• Just three players on Texas' roster have faced perennial power Nebraska during their collegiate careers: Hannah Allison, Sarah Palmer and Bailey Webster ... Webster was a freshman on UT's 2009 squad that swept Nebraska during Big 12 Conference play in 2009, while Allison, Palmer and Webster faced the Huskers in 2010 during Nebraska's final season in the Big 12 ... despite trailing in the all-time series between the two powerhouses, Texas has won three of its last four meetings with Nebraska.
• Sophomore middle blocker Molly McCage recorded a career-high nine block assists in Texas' 3-2 win at No. 14 Illinois (Sept. 14) ... McCage is the first player to log nine shared stuffs since junior middle blocker Khat Bell did the same against Kansas on Oct. 12, 2012.
• Texas owns a 70-36 (.660) record against ranked opponents over the last 10 seasons (2004-13) and a 36-7 (.837) mark against ranked opponents at Gregory Gym during that span ... the Longhorns' last win over the nation's top-ranked team came Sept. 7, 2013, when Texas toppled Penn State in five games (25-27, 25-17, 13-25, 25-21, 15-10) ... that match was the largest crowd in Gregory Gym's modern history, as a sell-out audience of 4,373 were in attendance.
• Following Sunday's match again the Huskers, the Longhorns will begin Big 12 Conference action Wednesday evening at TCU ... Texas has claimed the conference crown outright three times (2009, 2011-12) in the last four seasons under head coach Jerritt Elliott, and tied for a share of the title twice (2007-08).
