Texas ranked No. 18 in Baseball America Preseason Top 25

Longhorns open the season Feb. 14 at Cal
The Texas baseball team is ranked No. 18 in Baseball America's Preseason Top 25 poll which was released Monday.
The Longhorns return eight pitchers from last season's staff which ranked seventh nationally with a 2.61 ERA, along with seven starters on offense.
Texas, which opened team practice on Friday, Jan. 24, plays its annual alumni game on Saturday, Feb. 1, before opening the regular season at Cal on Friday, Feb. 14.
UT has also been ranked No. 20 by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper and No. 25 by Perfect Game USA.
