All-Time Series: Texas leads the overall series against TCU by a 7-2-1 total, but the Horns are just 1-2-1 over the last four meetings against the Horned Frogs dating back to 2009. UT is 1-0-1 versus TCU since the arrival of head coach Angela Kelly to take over the program prior to the 2012 campaign and 3-1 in road matches in the series.

- Texas senior Brooke Gilbert has been quite the offensive contributor for the Longhorns during the 2014 campaign, netting a single season career-high-tying four goals and registering an assist for a career-best nine total points. Her contributions come despite serving as a starting defender in the backline for the Burnt Orange & White. In fact, Gilbert currently owns the most goals and total points of any PURE DEFENDER in the entire Big 12 Conference. West Virginia defender/midfielder Leah Emaus and midfielder/defender Michaela Abam each own four goals while splitting time between offensive & defensive positions.
- Following the 6-0 rout at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (Sept. 5), the 2-0 blanking of Texas State (Sept. 21) and the 1-0 (OT) win over #6 Texas Tech (Sept. 26), Texas, under third year head coach Angela Kelly, is 8-4-1 against teams from the state of Texas. UT is a solid 5-1 against Lone Star State squads in the friendly confines of Mike A. Myers Stadium, 3-3 on the road and 0-0-1 at neutral sites. Texas is 3-0-0 this year in such contests and has two more matches against in-state teams scheduled for this season (vs. TCU and at Baylor).
- Fans are likely to see some set pieces on Friday night as Texas and TCU are currently the top two corner kick-creating teams in the Big 12. The Longhorns have earned 109 while the Horned Frogs have registered 90.
- Looking at current records (as of 10/16), Texas has played 14 teams that have combined to post a 115-59-19 overall record (a .645 winning percentage) thus far in 2014. As of Oct. 13, the NCAA rated UT's slate as the SIXTH-toughest schedule by percentage in Division I and the toughest in the Big 12. Ten of those 14 teams possess winning records, while five of those squads (UCLA, Arizona State, UCF, West Virginia & Kansas) have lost two or fewer matches. That tough schedule is reflected in the Longhorns' RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) as UT sits at No. 33 in the most recent NCAA RPI release of the campaign (10/13), good for fifth among Big 12 teams.
- Four of Texas' last six matches have been against ranked teams (went 3-3). It marks the first time since 2003 (played four ranked teams in six matches) that UT faced such a difficult stretch of contests over such a short time (went 3-3 against No. 20 Clemson, Furman, No. 1 North Carolina, LSU, No. 20 Portland and No. 14 Washington from Sept. 5-21, 2003).
