• Texas is coming off a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-17, 25-18) over West Virginia at Gregory Gym on Wednesday night. In the match, the Longhorns posted their best hitting percentage of the year at .512. Senior Haley Eckerman lit up the gym with 18 kills on a .533 hitting percentage and also added four aces. Junior Amy Neal led with 16 digs, while junior Molly McCage had six blocks. Sophomores Nicole Dalton and Chloe Collins posted 24 and 22 assists, respectively.
• Texas has out-hit its opponent in every match dating back to Sept. 13 of 2013 when the Longhorns played Arizona State, for 44-straight matches.
• Eckerman has been on a roll, posting double-digit kills in the last seven matches and leading the Longhorns in kills in five of the last six matches.
• In their last meeting, the Sooners handed Texas its first and only loss of the season and did so in sweeping fashion (26-24, 26-24, 26-24) in Austin. As a team, the Longhorns hit .230 for their third-lowest percentage on the season, while also committing 15 hitting errors, 14 service errors and eight receiving errors. Eckerman led Texas with 10 kills, while freshman Cat McCoy had 14 digs and senior Khat Bell and junior Molly McCage posted seven blocks each.
