• The Longhorns have won nine consecutive regular season home finales.
• The last Texas loss in the final home match of the regular season came on April 17, 2004 against Texas A&M (L, 5-2).
Winning trends
• Texas holds a 10-0 record at home this season. Two matches were played at UT's indoor Weller Tennis Center and eight have been played at the outdoor Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
• The last time Texas went undefeated at home was in 2010 (17-0). The 2010 season also marked the Longhorns' last Big 12 regular season title (6-0 in league play).
• UT's three consecutive Big 12 regular season wins, dating back to last season, makes up for the longest regular season Big 12 winning streak since winning seven straight in 2009 and 2010.
Hess-Olesen named Big 12 Player of the Week
• Junior Søren Hess-Olesen was named Big 12 Men's Tennis Player of the Week on April 1. It is the first Big 12 weekly honor for Hess-Olesen, a 2013 ITA All-American.
• Hess-Olesen led Texas to a 2-0 start in Big 12 Conference play, including a win over preseason conference favorite and third-ranked Oklahoma. He went 2-0 at the No. 1 singles position with straight-set wins over No. 2 Axel Alvarez Llamas (OU) and No. 61 Jakob Sude (OSU). His singles win over OU's Alvarez Llamas was the match-clinching point in the Longhorns' conference-opening upset victory over the Sooners.
• With doubles partner Lloyd Glasspool, he also notched a victory over OU's 17th-ranked Andrew Harris / Dane Webb on Saturday. The win was key in allowing UT to win the doubles point and eventually defeat the Sooners, 4-3.
• Hess-Olesen has at least 20 singles wins in three consecutive seasons, including a career-high 22 wins this season (22-6, 13-2 dual match play). His current four-match singles winning streak includes three victories against ranked opponents. The Aarhus, Denmark native boasts a total of nine wins over ranked opponents this season.
Singles Summary
• During dual match play this season, Texas holds a combined 83-31 (.728) record in singles competition. The Longhorns boast three nationally ranked players and five players with 10 or more wins during dual match play.
• No. 21 Søren Hess-Olesen leads the Longhorns at the No. 1 singles position in the lineup. Hess-Olesen has a 13-2 record at No. 1 singles this season and nine wins over nationally ranked opponents, including No. 2 Axel Alvarez Llamas (OU) on Friday.
• Junior Clement Homs boasts an 11-0 record in dual match play, including an 9-0 mark at No. 6 singles. Homs has won his last 12 singles matches dating back to the fall season.
• Junior Adrien Berkowicz leads the team in overall singles wins (24-7). After playing 14 matches at the No. 4 singles position, Berkowicz has played the No. 3 position in the last four dual matches.
• Sophomore Nick Naumann leads the team in wins during dual match play (16-3). Naumann has won eight of his last nine matches, including five consecutive victories. Naumann has played 17 of his dual matches at the No. 5 position.
Doubles Summary
• Texas has won the doubles point in 14 of 21 dual matches this season, holding an 12-2 team record when earning the team doubles point. The Longhorns enter the weekend with a combined 30-21 (.588) doubles record in the spring.
• No. 13 Lloyd Glasspool and Søren Hess-Olesen (21-10, 10-8 dual) account for nine of UT's wins over nationally ranked doubles teams.
• Adrien Berkowicz and George Goldhoff have won six of their last seven matches as a team. The duo moved up to the No. 2 doubles position in the last three matches after posing a 4-0 record at No. 3 doubles.
• David Holiner and Jacoby Lewis (5-4 dual match record) have played the No. 3 position in both conference matches this season.
Regular season farewell to Penick-Allison Tennis Center
• Saturday marks the final regular season match the Texas Men's Tennis team will play at Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
• UT Austin's new Dell Medical School campus will displace Penick-Allison Tennis Center after the completion of the season (May 2014). A new outdoor tennis center, currently in the planning stages, will provide world-class facilities and resources for both the men's and women's tennis programs, while enabling UT to continue to host conference, national and international competitions.
• The new outdoor facility, currently planned to be developed near 51st and Guadalupe streets, will be built in phases and will feature:
• Built in 1986, the Penick-Allison Tennis Center is named for Dr. D.A. Penick and Wilmer Allison, Dr. Penick's leading prodigy. Named head coach at UT in 1912 after a long career as a top player, Dr. Penick guided Texas to numerous Southwest Conference titles and was inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in recognition of his achievements and contributions to the sport.
• When the $3 million tennis center opened, it was the beginning of a new era for Texas Tennis. At that time, the facility reflected the modern era of college tennis. Selected as the site of several important championship tournaments, PATC has served collegiate tennis and UT well through the years.

In the ITA rankings
• Texas (18-3) is ranked No. 6 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll released on April 1, 2014.
• The Longhorns have been in the national top-10 in six of the last seven ITA polls.
• The Big 12 Conference has three teams ranked in the top-10 (No. 5 Oklahoma, No. 6 Texas, No. 7 Baylor).
• Texas' highest ranking in the poll this season was No. 5. The last time UT has been ranked higher than No. 5 was March 22, (No. 4).
Longhorns topple Sooners
• Texas opened Big 12 Conference play with a 4-3 win over preseason conference favorite and third-ranked Oklahoma on March 28 in front of over 1,000 fans at Penick-Allison Tennis Center.
• It marked UT's second win over a top-five opponent this season (No. 4 Georgia) and first win over Oklahoma since 2010.
• UT leads the all-time series with OU, 23-6.
Recapping the National Indoors
• Texas earned a spot in the ITA National Team Indoor Championship at the ITA Kick-Off in Nashville, Tenn. The fourth-seeded Longhorns defeated No. 15 Vanderbilt on its home court, 4-0, and No. 19 Wake Forest, 4-3, to capture the automatic bid.
• The Longhorns finished the ITA Indoors in Houston with a 2-1 record, including wins over No. 4 Georgia in the first round and No. 11 California in the consolation. Eventual champion and current top-ranked Ohio State edged Texas in the quarterfinals, 4-2.
• It was UT's first return to the ITA National Indoors since 2012.
• Søren Hess-Olesen was named to the ITA All-Tournament Team at the No. 1 singles position. He held an undefeated record in three matches at No. 1 singles during the event, defeating No. 14 Austin Smith (Georgia), No. 23 Peter Kobelt (Ohio State) and No. 62 Ben McLachlan (Cal).
Great Start
• Texas won its first seven matches of the season. The 7-0 start is the best since beginning the 2011 season 8-0.
• Texas did not allow a point in the first four dual matches of the season, marking the first time in the modern era that the Longhorns began a season with four consecutive shutout victories.
