- The Longhorns are 1-0 all-time against Friday's opponent Montana, having topped the Grizzlies on Sept. 7, 2014, at Myers Stadium, 2-0. UT's goals were scored by since graduated Brooke Gilbert and current senior midfielder Chantale Campbell.
- Texas' seeding is locked up for the upcoming Big 12 Championship in Kansas City, Mo., as the Longhorns have secured the No. 3 seed and now await word on who their opponent will be in the quarterfinals as the sixth seed. This year will mark Texas' 20th appearance at the league's annual event. UT has reached the semifinals in two of head coach Angela Kelly's first three seasons at the helm of the program. The third-place regular season finish is much better than expected by the league's coaches in the preseason as the Horns were tabbed to finish sixth in the annual vote.
- Freshman forward Alexa Adams enters Friday night's match against Montana having scored at least one point in five straight matches. That streak is currently good enough for a tie for sixth all-time in Texas history with Kylie Doniak, Hannah Higgins, Kelsey Carpenter, Kelly Wilson and Kati McBain. With a point against the Grizzlies, the Lancaster, Calif., native would move into a dead-lock for second by scoring in six straight. The program record is nine straight matches set by Kelly Wilson back in 2001.
- Senior goalkeeper Abby Smith needs just seven more saves to break her career high of 98 stops set during the 2014 campaign. The Plano, Texas, native needs 19 more saves to crack the program single-season top five in the category (would tie Dianna Pfenninger who had 111 stops in 2007).
- Texas head coach Angela Kelly is within sight of a significant career milestone as the fourth-year skipper needs just TWO WINS to reach the 200-victory plateau and could reach that mark as early as the Big 12 Championship with wins over Montana and a quarterfinal opponent. Kelly now owns an overall mark of 198-113-32 in her 16th-year combined as a head coach at Tennessee and now on the Forty Acres.
- With 29 shutouts and counting over her illustrious career on the Forty Acres, senior goalkeeper Abby Smith is now tied for the Texas career record for blankings. The Plano, Texas, native needs just ONE MORE to top former Longhorns net minder Dianna Pfenninger's mark of 29 shutouts established from 2005-08.
- Texas has been solid in close matches during the 2015 campaign, holding a 6-2-0 mark in one-goal contests. The Longhorns already own victories in such instances this season over Miami (FL) (1-0), No. 14 UCLA (2-1), Abilene Christian (2-1), Kansas (2-1), Iowa State (2-1) and No. 17 Texas Tech (2-1, 2OT).
