'LONGHORN WEEKLY' APPEARANCE
Head Coach Michael Center and senior All-American Søren Hess-Olesen appear on Longhorn Weekly tonight to preview this weekend's competition. Hosted by Craig Way, the one-hour show will air Thursday evening (May 7) from 7-8 p.m. Central on Longhorn Network and on selected affiliates of the Longhorn/IMG Radio Network. In addition to the initial LHN airing at 7 p.m., the show also airs later in the night at 9 p.m. and midnight, and on Friday at 5 a.m., noon, and 4:30 p.m.

• No. 9 Texas makes its 24th consecutive appearance in the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship as host of the first and second rounds on Friday and Saturday in Austin.
• The Longhorns face Patriot League champion Navy in the first round on Friday at 1 p.m. Central, preceded by Cal vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 10 a.m. Central. Winners of Friday's matches play on Saturday at 1 p.m. Central.

TEXAS IN THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
• No. 9 seed Texas is playing host to the opening rounds for the second consecutive year. UT has hosted the first and second rounds nine times in Head Coach Michael Center's 15-year tenure in Austin.
• The Longhorns are a perfect 20-0 in NCAA Championship matches played in Austin.
• Since 1977, the Longhorns hold a 48-32 record in NCAA Championship competition.
• In its previous 32 NCAA postseason appearances since 1977, UT has 11 quarterfinal appearances and six semifinal appearances. From 2006 to 2009, Texas advanced to three 'Final Fours,' including the title match in 2008.
• Last season, Texas advanced to the quarterfinals (round of eight) in Athens, Georgia, losing to No. 1-seed USC.
SERIES INFORMAITON
• Friday marks the second meeting between Texas and Navy. The first match between the schools was also in the NCAA Championship First Round, which the Longhorns won, 4-0, on May 11, 2007 in Austin.
• California and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi have been regular opponents for UT of late.
• UT and Corpus Christi have meet every year since 2006, including a 4-0 Texas victory on April 8 this season.
• Texas defeated Cal twice last season. The first victory came in a consolation round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship in Houston (4-2 on Feb. 16, 2014), and the second was at the NCAA Championship round of 16 in Athens (4-1 on May 16, 2014).
HOME SUCCESS
• Texas has won 24 of its last 26 home matches, including a 12-2 home record this season.
• The Longhorns are a perfect 20-0 in NCAA Championship matches played in Austin.
• This season, six matches have been played at Weller Indoor Tennis Center, six at the Caswell Tennis Center, and two at Westwood Country Club.
BIG 12 POWER
• All six Big 12 men's tennis teams are in the NCAA Championship field of 64, including four top-9 seeds -- No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Baylor, No. 5 TCU, and No. 9 Texas. The league is rounded out by 19th-ranked Texas Tech and 31st-ranked Oklahoma State.
• Three of the top-4 singles players in the country compete in the Big 12 -- No. 1 Axel Alvarez Llamas (Oklahoma), No. 2 Julian Lenz (Baylor), and No. 4 Søren Hess-Olesen (Texas).
SENIOR LEADERSHIP
• The Longhorns have five seniors on their roster -- Adrien Berkowicz, Lloyd Glasspool, Søren Hess-Olesen, Clement Homs, and Jacoby Lewis.
• The group accounts for 75 victories, four All-American honors, the 2014 Big 12 regular season title, and four trips to the NCAA tournament during their four years at Texas.
IN THE RANKINGS
• The Longhorns are ranked No. 9 in the latest ITA Rankings.
• Texas has been a top-10 team in 27 of the last 28 ITA polls dating back to last season, including all 15 this season.
• Three student-athletes represent Texas in the singles rankings -- No. 4 Søren Hess-Olesen, No. 42 Lloyd Glasspool, and No. 54 Adrien Berkowicz.
• Hess-Olesen has been ranked in the top-5 of the singles poll for 10 consecutive weeks, including a No. 1 ranking on March 24. He has been ranked in the every singles poll since Feb. 16, 2012 -- his freshman year.
• Glasspool and Hess-Olesen are ranked No. 19 as a doubles team.
TRIO ON ALL-BIG 12 TEAMS
• Seniors Adrien Berkowicz, Lloyd Glasspool, and Søren Hess-Olesen were named to the All-Big 12 Teams on Wednesday. All three were named to the All-Big 12 Singles Team; Glasspool and Hess-Olesen were named to the All-Big 12 Doubles Team.
• UT's three selections to the All-Big 12 Singles Team co-leads the conference with TCU.
• Berkowicz posted a 3-1 record at No. 3 singles in conference play this season to earn All-Big 12 honors for the first time.
• Glasspool earns All-Big 12 Singles honors for the third time as the 42nd-ranked player in the nation with a 17-8 overall record this season, including a 12-3 record a No. 2 singles.
• Hess-Olesen becomes a four-time All-Big 12 Singles honoree after leading the Longhorns at the No. 1 singles position for four years with a 101-38 career record, including a 57-23 (.713) career record at No. 1 singles. The fourth-ranked Denmark native holds a 28-6 overall record this season with 17 wins over ranked opponents.
• It marks the second consecutive All-Big 12 Doubles selection for Glasspool and Hess-Olesen. The duo posted a 3-1 record at No. 1 doubles in Big 12 action this season.
FIVE ON ACADEMIC ALL-BIG 12 TEAM
• Five Longhorns were named to the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Men's Tennis Teams. UT's first-team honorees include senior Lloyd Glasspool, senior Søren Hess-Olesen, senior Jacoby Lewis, and junior Michael Riechmann. Junior Nick Naumann earned second team honors.
• Hess-Olesen has earned first team honors for three consecutive years.
• First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 GPA or better. A total of 17 Big 12 Men's Tennis student-athletes earned first-team recognition.
HESS-OLESEN WINS 100TH CAREER MATCH
• Senior three-time All-American Søren Hess-Olesen is the ninth student-athlete in Texas history to reach 100 singles wins. Hess-Olesen reached the century mark by defeating TCU's 44th-ranked Nick Chappell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4, on April 18, 2015 in Fort Worth.
• Hess-Olesen enters the week with a 100-37 (.730) career singles record. All but one of his 56 wins during dual match competition have been at the No. 1 position in the lineup. This season, Hess-Olesen is 27-5 overall, 17-3 during dual match play, and 17-4 against ranked opponents.
• Hess-Olesen maintained a 17-match winning streak from Jan. 11 to March 17 this season.
• Hess-Olesen is the 2014 Big 12 Player of the Year, 2014 regular season champion at No. 1 singles, a three-time All-Big 12 honoree, and a three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team selection. Last season he advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship semifinals and earned ITA All-America honors in singles and doubles.

CENTER REACHES 300TH WIN AT TEXAS
• Michael Center notched his 300th victory as the head coach of Texas after a 4-1 win over No. 21 Texas Tech on April 4 in Austin.
• Center has guided the Longhorns to a 303-108 (.737) record in 15 years at Texas while appearing in the NCAA tournament during each season of his tenure.
SINGLES SUMMARY
• UT's top three positions in singles are a combined 51-15 this season, including a 36-8 mark at singles positions one and two.
• Texas holds an 85-39 (.685) record in singles competition during dual match play.
• Senior All-American Søren Hess-Olesen (28-6, 18-4 dual) has led the Longhorns at the No. 1 singles position in the lineup for four years. Hess-Olesen has an 18-4 record at No. 1 singles and 17 wins over nationally ranked opponents.
• Senior All-American Lloyd Glasspool (17-8, 12-4) has won 12 of his last 15 decisions at No. 2 singles.
• Senior Adrien Berkowicz (28-11, 16-5) co-leads the team in overall singles wins (28) and totals 55 career wins after just two years as a Longhorn.
