Hossler named PING First Team All-American

Junior Beau Hossler has been named an All-American all three years of his Texas career.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Men's Golf junior Beau Hossler has been named a PING First Team All-American, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced on Tuesday.
It marks the second-straight year Hossler has earned First Team honors and the third time he has earned All-America honors after being named honorable mention his freshman season.
He is one of five golfers in the Longhorns' rich history to earn First Team honors on more than one occasion, including Ben Crenshaw (1971-73), Bob Estes (1987-88), David Gossett (1999-00), Justin Leonard (1992-94) and Brad Elder (1996-97).
He earned medalist honors in five events during the 2015-16 season, finished in the top-five in seven and posted 11 top-10 finishes in 12 events. He leads the Longhorns with a 69.73 stroke average.
Hossler joins nine golfers from around the country to receive the honor, including Charlie Danielson of Illinois, Florida's Sam Horsfield, Georgia's Lee McCoy, Maverick McNealy of Stanford, South Carolina's Matthew NeSmith, Jon Rahm of Arizona State, Vanderbilt's Matthias Schwab, Alabama's Robby Shelton and Oregon's Aaron Wise.
