Vegas, Stone complete round one at Rio Olympics

Longhorns Jhonattan Vegas and Brandon Stone finished the first day tied for 34th and 56th, respectively.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas exes Jhonattan Vegas (2004-07) and Brandon Stone (2013) completed the first round of the 2016 Rio Olympics on Thursday.
Vegas finished with a 1-over par 72 to tie for 34th, while Stone finished 4-over par to tie for 56th.
Vegas started the day with seven pars until making a bogey on hole eight. He made two more bogeys on 12 and 15 before closing with two birdies on the last three holes.
Vegas will return to action for the second round on Friday, teeing off at 8:03 a.m. CT.
Stone began the round with two birdies, but made bogeys on holes five, seven and eight to make the turn +1. He made two more bogeys on 10 and 12 and a double bogey on 13, but closed the round with a birdie to finish the round with a 75.
Stone will tee off at 9:47 a.m. CT on Friday.
