Women’s Tennis concludes play at Alabama

Junior Katie Poluta and senior Dani Wagland add a pair of doubles wins on the final day at Alabama.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Texas senior Dani Wagland and junior Katie Poluta registered a pair of doubles wins as the Longhorns concluded play Saturday at the Roberta Alison Fall Classic hosted by The University of Alabama.
Wagland and Poluta teamed up to knock off Mississippi State's Magda Adaloglou and Khrystyna Vozniak, 6-4 in their first consolation match of the Linda Boedecker doubles draw. The Texas tandem sealed a fifth-place finish in the draw with their subsequent 6-1 win over Samford's Ellie Gerlach and Roos van der Zwaan.
Wagland will join Texas freshman Marta Perez-Mur to compete in doubles next week at the ITA National Fall Championships at Indian Wells. Texas sophomores Bianca Turati and Petra Granic will compete in singles at the same event.
