No. 4 Volleyball bounces back with win at Oklahoma

Senior Morgan Johnson led the Longhorns with 12 kills and five blocks.
NORMAN, Okla. - No. 4 Texas Volleyball defeated Oklahoma, 3-2 (25-23, 20-25, 25-18, 23-25, 15-9) on Saturday night in Norman, Okla. to improve to 11-4 on the season and 6-1 in Big 12 Conference play.
Senior Morgan Johnson led Texas with 12 kills on 21 swings with only one error for a .524 hitting percentage. Junior Micaya White posted 17 kills and eight digs, and freshman Logan Eggleston also had double-digit kills with 11, also adding four digs and six blocks.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led the Longhorns in digs with 18, while junior Autumn Rounsaville added nine.
Freshman Brionne Butler posted a team-high 10 blocks and eight kills, senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani had eight kills and four blocks, and sophomore Ashley Shook finished with 42 assists, 12 digs, three blocks, and two kills.
The Longhorns will have a bye during the week before hosting Texas Tech on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. The game will be televised live on Longhorn Network
