No. 8 Volleyball sweeps Texas Tech at home

Senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani posted a career-high 16 kills.
AUSTIN, Texas - No. 8 Texas Volleyball defeated Texas Tech, 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-21) in Gregory Gym on Saturday afternoon to improve to 12-4 and 7-1 in Big 12 Conference play.
Junior Micaya White led the Longhorns with 17 kills on no errors (.654), while adding 12 digs and one ace.
Senior Yaazie Bedart-Ghani posted 16 kills (.520) and three blocks, while senior Morgan Johnson added four kills (.667) and a team-high seven blocks.
Freshman Logan Eggleston recorded eight kills and six digs. Freshman Brionne Butler had four kills.
Sophomore Ashley Shook recorded 41 assists, seven digs, and three blocks.
Freshman Sydney Petersen finished with 11 digs, while junior Claire Hahn had four digs and two aces.
Texas has a short break before facing Iowa State in Ames on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. CT. The match will be televised on the ESPNU.
