No. 8 Volleyball sweeps Iowa State in Ames

AMES, Iowa - No. 8 Texas Volleyball swept Iowa State, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-14) at Hilton Coliseum Wednesday night to improve to 13-5 and 8-1 in Big 12 Conference play.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led the Longhorns with 16 digs for her 14th match with double-digit digs this season and a career-high six assists.
Junior Micaya White and freshman Logan Eggleston led Texas offensively with 12 kills each. White's 12 kills came on 35 swings with only two errors, hitting .286, also adding eight digs and four blocks.
Eggleston's 12 kills came on 24 swings with only one error at a .458 clip, also with four digs and two blocks.
Senior Yaazie Bedart-Ghani recorded eight kills (.381) and three digs, while senior Morgan Johnson added seven kills (.250) and two blocks.
Freshman Brionne Butler had seven kills (.583) and a team-high five blocks, while sophomore Ashley Shook recorded 31 assists, nine digs, four kills, and a block.
Juniors Autumn Rounsaville and Claire Hahn finished with 10 and eight digs, respectively.
Texas returns home to Gregory Gym to face Oklahoma on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. CT. The match will be televised on the Longhorn Network.
