No. 4 Volleyball takes down TCU in Fort Worth

Freshman Sydney Petersen led Texas with a career-high 23 digs.
FORT WORTH, Texas - No. 4 Texas Volleyball defeated TCU, 3-2 (25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 15-12) to improve to 9-3, 4-0 in Big 12 Conference play on Wednesday night.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led the Longhorns with a career-high 23 digs, while junior Micaya White posted 19 kills (.254) and 12 digs for her sixth double-double of the season.
Freshman Logan Eggleston also finished with double-digit kills with 17 (.231), also adding a career-high five blocks.
Junior Autumn Rounsaville rounded out the double-digit digs for Texas with a season-best 12 and junior Claire Hahn added nine.
Sophomore Ashley Shook posted 52 assists, eight digs, and three kills, while senior Morgan Johnson had nine kills, three blocks, and two digs. Freshman Brionne Butler contributed seven kills and five blocks.
The Longhorns return home to Gregory Gym to face Iowa State on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. CT. The match will be televised on the Longhorn Network.
