NOTES
-Texas remained undefeated in Big 12 play after escaping TCU in Fort Worth, 3-2 (25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 18-25, 15-12). Junior Micaya White led the Longhorns with 19 kills (.254), while freshman Logan Eggleston added 17 (.231). Sophomore Ashley Shook posted 52 assists, freshman Sydney Petersen led in digs and aces with 23 and three, and freshman Brionne Butler and Eggleston both finished with five blocks each.
-Through four conference matches, White continues to lead the Longhorns in kills with 64 (4.00/set) at a .363 clip. She is second on the team in digs with 37 (2.31). Senior Morgan Johnson leads in hitting percentage at .431 (28-3-58). Shook leads with 171 assists (10.60), while Petersen leads in digs with 62 (3.88/set). Butler leads in blocks with 23, including four solo (1.44/set).
-White's 19 kills against TCU gave her 1,001 for her career. She joins an elite list of Longhorns on the 1,000+ kills list, including Haley Eckerman, Bailey Webster, Juliann Faucette, and Destinee Hooker. Mira Topic leads the all-time kills list at 2,116 (during rally scoring era), while Eckerman leads at 1,662 in the non-rally scoring era.
-The Texas freshmen (Butler, Eggleston, Petersen, Gabriel) make up 28 of the Longhorns' 47 service aces in 12 matches this season. Petersen has a team-leading 12 (0.26/set), Eggleston has 10 (0.22/set), and Gabriel and Butler both have three.
-Texas will welcome its 1988 National Championship team on Saturday to commemorate the 30-year anniversary. That team went 34-5 overall and 10-0 in conference. They defeated North Carolina in the first round (in Austin), Colorado State and No. 7 UT-Arlington in the regionals (in Austin), No. 1 UCLA in the semifinals, and No. 3 Hawaii for the Championship match (played in Minneapolis, Minn.).
