• The Longhorns come into the contest with a record of 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Big 12 Conference. The 5-1 start is their best since the 2009 season, while the 3-0 conference start is the best since 2013.
• Texas enters Saturday's game ranked No. 9 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 and No. 14 in the Coaches Poll. The Longhorns have not been ranked in the AP Top 10 since week four of the 2010 season. UT has not been ranked this highly for their seventh game of a season since 2009.
• Baylor enters at 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12. The Bears beat Kansas State 37-34 last weekend at home. Prior to that, Baylor had lost to Oklahoma and defeated Kansas in its first two conference games of the year. BU's only other loss this season was at home to Duke.
• The Longhorns have won three straight games against the Bears, their longest streak since winning 12 straight from 1998-2009.
• The game will be broadcast on ESPN, with Adam Amin (play-by-play), Rod Gilmore (analyst) and Quint Kessenich (sideline) on the call.

• Texas looks to continue its winning ways at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns are 3-0 so far in 2018 at home for just the second time since the 2009 season. UT started the 2016 season 4-0 at home.
Five Straight
• Texas has won five consecutive games for the first time since the 2013 season in which they won six straight after a 1-2 start.
• Since winning the first 13 games of 2009, this current winning streak is the second-longest, and just the second of at least five games.

• Cameron Dicker, a true freshman from Austin, nailed a 40-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give the Longhorns a 48-45 win over No. 7/5 Oklahoma in the AT&T Red River Showdown.
• Since 1995, a listing of other clutch kicks is below:

Taking Care Of The Ball
• For the third consecutive game, Texas played turnover free football in their victory over No. 7/5 Oklahoma.
• The Longhorns have gone 245 consecutive plays without a turnover, dating back to the third quarter against USC.
• UT is +7 in turnover margin during the last three weeks and +8 during its five-game winning streak.
Taking Care Of The Ball, Part II
• Since throwing an interception on his final pass in the week one loss to Maryland, quarterback Sam Ehlinger has attempted a school-record 163 consecutive passes without an interception.
• Major Applewhite owned the previous record with 156 consecutive pass attempts without an interception in 1999.
Ehlinger By The Numbers
• True sophomore Sam Ehlinger completed 24-of-35 for 314 yards and two touchdowns through the air in Saturday's win over Oklahoma. He also rushed for 72 yards and a career-high three touchdowns. He was named Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
• He has attempted 163 straight passes without an interception, a new school record. Major Applewhite's 156 straight in 1999 was the previous school record.
• Ehlinger became the first Longhorn QB since Colt McCoy in 2008 to have at least two TD passes and one rushing TD in three consecutive games (Tulsa, USC, TCU).
• He is the first Longhorn QB since Vince Young in 2005 (Oct. 15 vs. Colorado) to rush for three touchdowns and pass for two more in a game. Just McCoy (twice) and Chris Simms) have had more TDs in a game since 2000.
• He has passed for more than 200 yards in six-straight games to begin the season, becoming the first Longhorn QB since McCoy in 2007 to do so. McCoy (8 straight 2007), Applewhite (11 straight 1999) and Peter Gardere (7 straight 1992) are the only other Longhorn QBs to do so in school history.
• Ehlinger was the first Longhorn QB ever to pass for at least 200 yards and two touchdowns in each of the season's first four games.
• In 2017, Ehlinger passed for 1,915 yards and rushed for 385. He was the first Texas quarterback since Colt McCoy in 2008 to lead the Longhorns in both passing and rushing yards in a season.
• Ehlinger became the first freshman QB in school history (true or redshirt) to rush for 100 yards in consecutive games, and just the third freshman QB to do so twice in a season (Vince Young, '03; Jerrod Heard, '15), when he did so against Kansas State and Oklahoma in 2017.
• He has now passed for 3,414 yards in his career and currently sits 12th in school history. Next up is Case McCoy's (2010-13) 3,689 yards and Shea Morenz's (1993-94) 3,774 yards to move into the top 10.
• He has thrown 22 career touchdown passes, tied with Bret Stafford (1985-87) for 12th-most in UT history.
Ehlinger Against Oklahoma
• In two games against Oklahoma, Ehlinger has totaled 388 yards and 386 yards of offense, the two highest outputs by a Longhorn QB in school history vs. OU.
• His 314 passing yards were the fourth-most ever by a Longhorn QB against Oklahoma.
• His five total touchdowns were the most ever by a Longhorn quarterback against the Sooners, as were his three rushing touchdowns. Only Bobby Layne (4 in 1946) has had more rushing touchdowns against the Sooners in school history.
• Ehlinger's 278 passing yards in the Red River Showdown in 2017 were a UT true freshman record in the game.
• In that game, he became just the fourth player (seventh time) to pass for 275 yards and rush for 100. He joined Vince Young (Nov. 6 & 13, 2004) as the only other player in school history to do so in back-to-back games.
• In two games against OU, Ehlinger has 592 passing and 182 rushing yards with seven total TDs.
Ehlinger As The Starter
• Ehlinger has passed for at least 200 yards in all 12 games that he has started. He has at least one touchdown pass in 13 of 15 career appearances, including eight career two-TD passing games.
• His 12 career 200-yard passing games are tied with Vince Young for the seventh-most in school history.
Two-Headed Monster
• Junior wide receivers Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Collin Johnson have provided QB Sam Ehlinger with two dangerous targets so far this season.
• Humphrey leads the team with 35 catches for 535 yards and four TDs, while Johnson is close behind with 30 receptions for 431 yards and four scores.
• Forty-four FBS teams have at least one receiver with 30-plus catches so far this season, but Texas is one of just eight to have two receivers with 30-or-more catches.
• The eight schools are TEXAS, Ball State, Baylor, Colorado State, Hawaii, North Carolina State, Ohio State and Washington State.
Two-Headed Monster, Part II
• Humphrey and Johnson have combined for 65 catches, 966 yards and eight scores through six weeks.
• The last time two Longhorn receivers went over 40 catches in the same season was 2014, when John Harris caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and seven TDs, and Jaxon Shipley had 59 receptions for 577 yards and one score.
