No. 5 Volleyball takes down Kansas, 3-1

Senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani led Texas with 13 kills and two blocks.
AUSTIN, Texas - No. 5 Texas Volleyball defeated Kansas, 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18) at Gregory Gym on Saturday afternoon to improve to 17-4 overall and 12-1 in Big 12 Conference play.
With the win, the Longhorns are guaranteed at least a share of the 2018 Big 12 Conference title.
Senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani led the Longhorns with 13 kills on 23 swings (.435) while adding two blocks and one dig.
Freshman Jhenna Gabriel led Texas with 45 assists for a career high while adding six digs.
Junior Micaya White had a team-high 11 digs, also posting double-digit kills with 12, one block, and two aces.
Freshman Logan Eggleston had double-digit kills with 10 and had one dig.
Junior Brionne Butler had nine kills (.438), three digs, and two blocks, while senior Morgan Johnson had nine kills on 11 swings (.818) and three blocks.
Freshman Sydney Petersen had eight digs and one ace and junior Autumn Rounsaville had seven digs.
Texas has a break before going to Waco to face Baylor on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 p.m. CT.
