No. 5 Volleyball advances to 13th-straight NCAA Regional Final

The Longhorns took down Michigan, 3-1, to advance to their 24th Elite 8.
PROVO, Utah – No. 5 Texas Volleyball defeated Michigan, 3-1 (25-10, 27-29, 29-27, 25-19), at Smith Fieldhouse on Friday afternoon to advance to its 13th-straight NCAA Regional Final. Texas is the only team in the country to advance to the NCAA Regional Final in each of the last 13 years.
Three Longhorns recorded double-digit kills, led by junior Micaya White with 21 (.280), freshman Logan Eggleston with 17 (.364) and senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani with 15 (.464).
White's 21 kills came on 50 swings for a .280 efficiency. She also finished with 10 digs, four blocks and one ace.
Eggleston's 17 kills came on 33 swings for a .364 clip. She added nine digs, two blocks and two aces.
Bedart-Ghani led Texas in hitting percentage, posting 15 kills on 28 swings with only two errors for a .464 efficiency. She also registered six blocks.
Freshman Brionne Butler led the Longhorns in blocks with nine and had seven kills for a .333 hitting percentage while adding two aces. Senior Morgan Johnson had five kills (.267) and four blocks.
Freshman Sydney Petersen posted a team-high 18 digs, while junior Autumn Rounsaville added 12. Freshman Jhenna Gabriel had 53 assists, six digs and two blocks.
Texas will play No. 4 BYU in the NCAA Regional Final on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. CT. The match will be televised on ESPNU.
