STILLWATER, Okla. - Freshman Texas golfer Kaitlyn Papp carded a second-round even-par 72 Saturday to lead the No. 8 Longhorns on the second day of the NCAA Championship at Karsten Creek Golf Club. The Longhorns are currently in 18th place overall with a 33-over-par 609 (309-300).

No. 3 UCLA shot a nine-under-par 279 on Saturday and leads the tournament field by five strokes with a three-under-par three-round total of 573 (294-279). No. 1 Alabama is in second place with a two-over-par 578 (292-286) and No. 6 Southern California is in third with a 13-over-par 589 (291-298).

Texas will begin Sunday's third round from the 10th tee with tee times starting at 12:15 p.m. CT. The Longhorns will play in a group with Arkansas and Baylor. The top-15 teams on the leaderboard after Sunday's third round will advance to Monday's final round of stroke play.

Senior Sophia Schubert is the top Texas golfer through two rounds, standing in a tie for 44th individually, with a six-over-par 150 (75-75). Schubert has 26 pars over the first two days of the NCAA Championship, making her one of 15 individuals in the field with more than 25 pars on the week.

Papp recorded an even-par 72 on Saturday to pace her team and currently stands at seven-over-par with a 151 (79-72). She had three birdies in the second round.

Freshman Agathe Laisne is at nine-over-par with a two-round total of 153 (76-77), while sophomore Greta Isabella Voelker is at 15-over-par with a 159 (83-76). Sophomore Emilee Hoffman is at 16-over-par with a 160 (79-81).
