No. 2 Volleyball falls at No. 8 Wisconsin

Freshman Logan Eggleston led Texas with a career-high 16 kills.
MADISON, Wis.—No. 2 Texas fells to No. 8 Wisconsin, 1-3 (21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 12-25) at the HotelRED Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Saturday night.
Freshman Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns with a career-high 16 kills on 35 swings for a .314 clip.
Junior Micaya White posted her third match in double-digit kills with 16 (.333) and her second double-double of the season with 11 digs, also adding one block and one ace.
Senior Morgan Johnson led Texas in blocks with four, also adding six kills, while freshman Brionne Butler posted three blocks and eight kills (.471).
Freshman Sydney Petersen led Texas in digs with 14 and Autumn Rounsaville added nine. Sophomore Ashley Shook finished with 45 assists, five digs, and two blocks.
The Longhorns will have a quick turnaround before facing High Point on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. in Madison, Wis. to close the HotelRED Invitational.
KEY STATISTICS
-Eggleston's 16 kills were a career-high mark and the most by a freshman this season.
-White's 16 kills marks the third-straight match where she has recorded double-digit kills. It marks her second match with a double-double this season.
-Petersen has double-digit digs in all three matches this season.
-Texas now has a 107-49 (.686) record over ranked teams in the last 12 seasons.
-The Longhorns will take on their first non-ranked opponent on Sunday when facing High Point.
