No. 2 Volleyball bounces back with sweep over High Point

Freshman Brionne Butler led the Longhorns with 12 kills and seven blocks.
MADISON, Wis.—No. 2 Texas swept High Point, 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-15) at the HotelRED Invitational in Madison, Wis. on Sunday afternoon.
Freshman Brionne Butler led all players with 12 kills (.750) and seven blocks. Junior Micaya White added 10 kills (.385), five digs, four blocks, and one service ace.
Senior Morgan Johnson recorded four kills (.444), six blocks, and one service ace. Senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani finished with six kills (.333) and five blocks.
Freshman Logan Eggleston contributed four kills and five digs and sophomore Ashley Shook added eight digs and 30 assists.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led Texas with 14 digs, while junior Autumn Rounsaville added five digs.
The Longhorns will return to Austin to play at home for the first time during the regular season on Thursday Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. against Texas State and will host No. 16 Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m.
