- Sunday's match will be the first meeting between the Texas Longhorns and the Northern Colorado Bears.
- The Longhorns are currently on the fifth-longest winning streak in school history, having won six straight contests dating back to Aug. 24. In fact, two of the five longest win streaks in school history have occurred during the past two seasons (UT won 11 straight to begin 2017).
- Texas is riding quite a scoring streak lately, having totaled at least two goals in six consecutive matches dating back to Aug. 24 vs. No. 23 UCF. The feat is quite rare in Longhorns history as this season's occurrence marks only the third time that UT has scored two-or-more times in six straight contests, and the first since 2002. The Burnt Orange & White have scored in seven straight just once previously and have never scored two-or-more goals in eight straight matches in program history.
- Texas senior midfielder Katie Glenn has now scored a goal in three consecutive matches for just the second time in her career (previous occurrence was from Sept. 3-10, 2017) and now has totaled points in four straight matches for the first time in her career.
- Senior forward Alexa Adams has a scoring streak of her own going having tallied at least one point in four straight matches. This isn't the first time she's been on such a point streak in her career. Adams managed a point in a career-best six straight contests as a freshman from Oct. 9-30, 2015.
- Sophomore midfielder Haley Berg has roared to life offensively over the past two weeks as the Celina, Texas, native has now scored a goal in consecutive matches for the first time in her career and has three goals over UT's last four contests.
- Texas' defense has cranked up the pressure over the last four matches, allowing just 15 combined shots over the last 360:00 of playing time against Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Houston Baptist and UTRGV (3.8 shots-per-match). In fact, in two of those eight halves of play, the Longhorns didn't allow a single shot - first half vs. SFA and the second half vs. TXST. Texas has allowed more than two shots in a half over that stretch just twice - first half vs. TXST (four) and second half vs. UTRGV (five).
- The Longhorns have wasted no time this season jumping on their opponents as UT has outscored the opposition during the first halves of matches by a combined total of 12-2. Only Texas State and No. 23 UCF have managed to locate the net during the opening 45 minutes of play against Texas this year.
- After going just 2-8 during one-goal matches during the 2016 season, the Longhorns since have turned around their fortunes in such contests by going a remarkable 15-3 over their last 18 one-goal matches since beginning 2017 and are 4-0 in 2018.
- Texas has scored first in seven of its eight matches during the 2018 campaign, and the Longhorns have trailed for only 11:04 (against Texas State) out of 742:38 of match time so far this season. Texas has scored first in 23 of its last 29 total matches dating back to the start of 2017.
- Texas has won its last 15 non-conference home matches, dating back to a 1-0 defeat against No. 19 California on Sept. 4, 2016, and 13 of its last 15 home contests overall (13-1-1).
- The Longhorns have won their last 11 September matches in a row dating back to a 2-1 (2OT) loss to Oklahoma State on Sept. 30, 2016.
- Texas began the new season at No. 17 in the preseason United Soccer Coaches poll released on Aug. 7. The preseason ranking marked the first for the Burnt Orange & White since beginning the 2009 campaign at No. 15. On the strength of its unbeaten 7-0-1 start, UT has now climbed as high as No. 11 in both the Soccer America and Top Drawer Soccer polls and is No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches ranking. Texas has now appeared in each of the last 15 United Soccer Coaches poll releases dating back to Sept. 12, 2017.
- With her score at 61:48 against Long Beach State, freshman forward Mackenzie McFarland registered her first career goal and match-winner on her very first career shot. For her effort, the Coppell, Texas, native was honored as the Big 12 Conference's Freshman of the Week for Sept. 4.
- The Burnt Orange & White are a remarkable 6-2-4 in overtime matches combining the 2017 & 2018 seasons and have gone to at least one extra session in 12 of their last 23 contests.
- Junior goalkeeper Nicole Curry's career goals-against-average of 0.70 is currently the lowest mark in school history, 0.14 ahead of standout UT net minder Abby Smith's career GAA of 0.84 (2012-15).
