No. 5 Volleyball bounces back with win at Kansas State in first Big 12 match

MANHATTAN, Kan. - No. 5 Texas opened Big 12 Conference play with a win over Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan. on Wednesday night, 3-2 (24-26, 25-19, 25-17, 18-25, 19-17).
Junior Micaya White led the Longhorns with 21 kills (.447), while also adding 13 digs and one block. Freshman Brionne Butler added 14 kills (.467), four digs, and seven blocks.
Freshman Logan Eggleston recorded 18 kills (.439), five digs, and two blocks.
Sophomore Ashley Shook finished with 62 assists, five kills (.500), eight digs, and five blocks.
Senior Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani contributed 10 kills (.286), three digs, and two blocks, while senior Morgan Johnson had nine kills (.667), and five blocks.
Freshman Sydney Petersen led the Longhorns with 19 digs, while junior Autumn Rounsaville added 8 digs.
The Longhorns have a week break before facing Baylor at Gregory Gym on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. CT. The match will be televised on Longhorn Network.
