No. 6 Volleyball sweeps TCU on the road

FORT WORTH, Texas – No. 6 Texas Volleyball took down TCU in Fort Worth on Wednesday evening, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21 to move to 9-2, 3-0 in Big 12 play.
Senior Micaya White led the match with 13 kills, hitting .500. She added four digs and two aces. Sophomore Logan Eggleston added 11 kills, four digs, two aces and a block. Freshman Skylar Fields added eight kills, hitting .375, and three blocks.
The trio of middles combined for 9-1-16 on the attack. In two sets, Brionne Butler put down five kills. hitting .571. She added one solo block and one block assist. Asjia O'Neal put down three kills, two blocks and two digs. Molly Phillips added one kill and three blocks.
Sophomore setter Jhenna Gabriel dished out 36 assists and guided the team to a .365 hitting percentage. She added four digs, two blocks, an ace and a kill to her stat line.
Texas returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at Kansas State. The match is set to start at 7 p.m. CT and will be televised by FOX Sports Net.
