- Texas leads its "Red River Rivalry" series over Oklahoma by a total of 14-9-2, but the two teams are dead-locked all-time in Norman at 5-5-1. In all, the Longhorns have won six of the last nine overall meetings, but are just 1-2-1 over the last four match-ups. UT hasn't won in Norman since Oct. 24, 2014, and saw the Sooners end Texas' school-record-tying 11-match winning streak with a 0-0 (2OT) tie in UT's last visit in 2017.
- Texas has been perfect on the road in Big 12 play this season, going 3-0. The last time the Longhorns posted at least three league road wins in a single campaign was 2014. With one conference road contest remaining at Oklahoma on Oct. 31, UT has the opportunity to post its first perfect Big 12 road slate since going 5-0 back in 2006.
- The Longhorns are still alive for either the No. 2, No. 3 or No. 4-seeding for the upcoming Big 12 Soccer Championship in Kansas City, Mo. A win over Oklahoma guarantees Texas at least the No. 3-seed! Let's take a look at the various scenarios:
- Texas gets the No. 2-seed with a win at Oklahoma and a Texas Tech loss vs. Kansas State
- Texas gets the No. 3-seed with a win at Oklahoma and a Texas Tech tie or win vs. Kansas State
- Texas gets the No. 3-seed with a tie at Oklahoma only if TCU and West Virginia tie
- Texas gets the No. 3-seed with a loss at Oklahoma only if TCU and West Virginia tie
- Texas gets the No. 4-seed with a tie at Oklahoma and either TCU or West Virginia win
- Texas gets the No. 4-seed with a loss at Oklahoma and either TCU or West Virginia win
- According to an Oct. 30 announcement from the league office, the Longhorns had a PROGRAM-RECORD 17 student-athletes named to the 2019 Academic All-Big 12 Teams. That broke the old record of 14 previously held by the 2015 Longhorns squad. Conference-wide, Kansas led the way with 18 selections, while Texas, Kansas State and Texas Tech followed with 17.
- The Longhorns have faced a tough schedule this season as 13-of-17 played opponents currently own winning records and eight of those opponents own 10-or-more victories (Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Kansas, Colorado, Monmouth, Gonzaga, Washington & TCU). According to the most recent NCAA strength of schedule rankings, Texas has played the 36th toughest slate in NCAA Division I.
- Texas has spread the scoring around in a major way so far in 2019 as 11 DIFFERENT LONGHORNS have scored goals and 13 different players own points. Keep in mind that in 2018, the Burnt Orange & White had 10 different goal scorers over an entire 21-match season. The most players registering goals during a single campaign since Angela Kelly took over was 13 back in 2013.
- Texas is 18-2-1 over the past two seasons when scoring first in a match and 8-1-0 when doing so during the 2019 campaign with the only loss this year coming to No. 17 Texas Tech on Oct. 27, 2-1 (OT).
- The Longhorns have now won 27 consecutive matches in which they scored two-or-more goals in a contest dating back to the start of the 2017 season. The last time Texas failed to win when tickling the twine on two occasions was in a 3-2 defeat at TCU back on Oct. 28, 2016.
- After going just 2-8 in one-goal matches back in 2016, the Longhorns have since turned around their fortunes in such contests by going 24-12 in their last 36 one-goal matches since beginning 2017 (6-4 so far in 2019).
