The Longhorns drop to 6-5 overall and 4-4 in the Big 12 this season.
WACO, Texas – Texas Football (6-5, 4-4 Big 12) lost to No. 13/13 Baylor (10-1, 7-1 Big 12), 24-10, on Saturday at McClane Stadium. Sam Ehlinger threw for 200 yards and Devin Duvernay had 10 catches for 78 yards in the game.
Key Statistics
- On the second play of the game, D'Shawn Jamison forced a Baylor fumble that was recovered by Chris Brown. Texas drove into Baylor territory on the ensuing drive but was forced to punt.
- Following the Longhorns' next series, a 19-yard punt gave the Bears a short field. Baylor took advantage and scored the first points of the game to take a 7-0 lead.
- The teams traded punts throughout the second quarter before the Longhorns ended the first half with a 48-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker to make the score 7-3. Keaontay Ingram exploded for a 68-yard run to get Texas into field goal range just before half.
