THE OPENING KICKOFF
• The University of Texas enters the final week of the regular season with a Friday morning matchup against Texas Tech on the docket. The Longhorns and Red Raiders will kick off at 11 a.m. CT on FOX.
• The Longhorns enter the weekend with an overall record of 6-5 and a 4-4 mark in the Big 12 Conference. Texas was bested by then-No. 13 Baylor, 24-10, last week on the road.
• UT passed for 200 yards and rushed for 191 against the Bears, including 86 yards on the ground from RB Keaontay Ingram and 279 yards of total offense from QB Sam Ehlinger.
• Texas Tech enters the regular season finale with a 4-6 record and a 2-5 mark in BIg 12 play. The Red Raiders are coming off a 30-27 loss to Kansas State last Saturday.
• Texas is 51-17 all-time against Texas Tech, including 30-7 when the teams meet in Austin. The Longhorns are 1-1 against the Red Raiders under head coach Tom Herman, and defeated their in-state foe, 41-34, last season in Lubbock.
• Saturday will mark Texas' final home contest this season. The Longhorns are 4-1 at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium this season.
• The game will broadcast on FOX, with Joe Davis (PxP), Brock Huard (analyst) and Bruce Feldman (reporter) on the call.
• ESPN Radio will have the national call with Sean Kelley (PxP, Barrett Jones (analyst) and Ian Fitzsimmons (reporter) on the call.
• The Longhorn IMG Radio Network broadcast with Craig Way (play-by-play), Keith Moreland (analyst) and Quan Cosby (sideline) can be heard on Sirius channel 83, XM channel 83, and app channel 83 in addition to the local affiliates listed on page two.

THE 2019 SENIOR CLASS
• Texas will honor its senior class on Friday with a pregame ceremony on the field. The Longhorns will recognize 16 players against Texas Tech.
• The players being recognized are OL Parker Braun, WR John Burt, DL Jamari Chisholm, DL D'Andre Christmas-Giles, WR Devin Duvernay, TE Austin Hibbetts, WR Collin Johnson, RB Kirk Johnson, DB Brandon Jones, LB Jeffrey McCulloch, K Chris Naggar, DB/RB Mason Ramirez, OL Ishan Rison, DL Malcolm Roach, OL Zach Shackelford, OL J.P. Urquidez and DL Gerald Wilbon.
• Duvernay, Johnson, Jones, Roach and Shackelford are five of the Longhorns' six team captains this season.
• The 2019 senior class has combined to play in 458 games in the Burnt Orange and White during their careers, amassing 6,594 all-purpose yards and scoring 34 total touchdowns.
• Defensively, this year's senior class has combined for 482 career tackles, 45.0 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
• Texas will face Texas Tech for the 69th time in program history on Saturday. The Longhorns hold a 51-17 advantage in the all-time series against the Red Raiders, including a 30-7 record when the two teams face off in Austin.
• The Horns have won eight of the last 10 matchups against Texas Tech, dating back to 2009. That stretch includes a trio of wins over the Red Raiders at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
• Texas is 1-1 against Texas Tech under head coach Tom Herman.
• The two schools first met in 1928, when the Longhorns bested the Red Raiders, 12-0, in Austin.
• Texas owns the longest winning streak by either side in series history, winning eight consecutive matchups from 1958-66.
• The Horns bested Texas Tech, 58-7, in 1999, marking the largest margin of victory (51 points) by either side in the series' history.
A TEXAS WIN WOULD...
• Be Texas' 915th victory all-time, keeping UT as the fourth-winningest program in college football history.
• Mark Tom Herman's 46th victory as a head coach and his 24th at The University of Texas.
• Mark Texas' ninth win over Texas Tech in the programs' last 11 meetings, dating back to 2009.
• Push the Longhorns' record to 18-6 against the Red Raiders since the two programs joined the Big 12 Conference prior to the start of the 1996 season.
HEAD COACH TOM HERMAN
• Tom Herman is in his fifth season overall as a head coach with a career record of 45-19 (.703). He is in his third season at Texas with a mark of 23-15 (.605).
• Including the 2019 season, Herman has spent 16 of his 22 seasons as a coach in the state of Texas on the collegiate level.
• Herman graduated from Cal Lutheran and received his master's degree in education from The University of Texas.
• He owns a career mark of 13-9 against top 25 opponents, 5-6 against top 10 foes and 3-3 versus teams in the top five.
CAPTAINS
The Longhorns longtime tradition of naming team captains continued this year, with the following six earning the honor for the 2019 season:

All six Longhorn Captains are first-time selections, marking the second time during Tom Herman's three seasons at the helm that all captains are first-time selections (2017).
