Laisne leads No. 2 Women's Golf on day one of Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge

Laisne is tied for the individual lead with a two-under-par 69.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif. – Sophomore Agathe Laisne fired a two-under-par 69 on Sunday and the No. 2 Texas women's golf team is currently in third place following the opening day of the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge at Palos Verdes Golf Club.
No. 12 UCLA leads the field with a seven-over-par 291, while No. 13 Stanford is in second with an 11-over-par 295. The Longhorns carded a 14-over-par 298 and currently stand in third place after the first 18 holes.
Laisne turned in her fifth round of the season in the 60s with a two-under 69. She is tied with Wake Forest's Letizia Bagnoli for the individual lead.
As a team, Texas totaled 64 pars on the day – the most of any team in the field on Sunday.
A LOOK AT THE LINEUP
• Laisne is tied for the individual lead with a two-under-par 69. She led the field on Sunday with the best individual par-three scoring average [2.50, -2].
• Freshman Sára Kousková is tied for 17th place with a four-over-par 75. Her 15 pars on Sunday were the best among all golfers in the field.
• Freshman Hailee Cooper and junior Emilee Hoffman are tied for 41st place with six-over-par 77s.
• Sophomore Kaitlyn Papp is tied for 60th with an eight-over-par 79.
