Baseball announces inaugural 'Bark in the Park' presented by Nulo Pet Food

As part of Made in Austin Weekend, Texas Baseball is proud to announce the first "Bark in the Park" event presented by Nulo Pet Food to be held Sunday, April 14 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. If your dog is the No. 1 Longhorns fan in your household, this is the perfect opportunity to bring your favorite furry friend to the ballpark to let them see their burnt orange heroes in action against the K-State Wildcats!
Bark in the Park guests can look forward to an exciting day of baseball with dog-themed programming throughout the game. Dogs will receive a Bark in the Park water bowl upon entry and a Treat Bag courtesy of Austin-based Nulo Pet Food as they leave.
Fans who wish to bring their dogs to the game may purchase general admission tickets and a special Bark in the Park ticket for their dog that provides admittance for one dog that meets all eligibility requirements. Fans with dogs must sit in designated Bark in the Park seating sections at UFCU Disch-Falk Field (Sections L6-L7). General admission tickets for humans are $9 and Bark in the Park tickets for dogs are $12. Existing ticket holders interested in bringing their dog(s) must purchase a separate Bark in the Park dog ticket and must sit in the designated seating sections. Capacity is limited for Bark in the Park guests, so purchase tickets now before they sell out!
Bark in the Park is part of Made in Austin Weekend to be held April 12-14 on The University of Texas campus. Events feature a variety of fan experiences that celebrates what makes Austin so unique: live music, specialty food and beverage offerings, dog-friendly activities, and the Texas Longhorns!

BARK IN THE PARK GUIDELINES
In order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all fans and dogs in attendance, Texas Athletics has instituted the following policies and parameters surrounding Bark in the Park.
All Bark in the Park guests must purchase tickets and fill out necessary paperwork no later than Wednesday, April 10 (or until capacity is reached). Paperwork will be emailed separately to all guests who purchased Bark in the Park tickets. Once completed, your paperwork will be reviewed and you will be notified via email of your confirmation.
No walk-up guests with dogs will be allowed entry.
Dog owners must sign a liability release and confirm the following:
- The dog has current registration and vaccinations including rabies, DHLP, parvo, and bordetella.
- The dog is old enough (min. 4 months old) to be around other dogs and people.
- The dog must be in good health and free from parasites.
- The dog must be able to walk up and down flights of stairs or be easily carried up and down stairs by their owner.
- The dog is comfortable in large crowds and is not excessively fearful around humans, other dogs, or loud noises.
- The dog does well on leash and does not have a history of being overly aggressive towards humans or other dogs. Dogs must remain on leash at all times.
Seating sections: Bark in the Park guests sit in Sections L6-L7 along the third base line.
Entry for Bark in the Park guests is at the left field gate. Guests should check-in at the designated Bark in the Park check-in station outside the left field gate and receive a wristband for entry. Bark in the Park dogs may only enter/exit the left field gate.
Parameters
- Only one approved dog per one adult guest. Dogs must be supervised by persons 18 years of age or older at all times.
- All dogs must be under control, on a leash, and in view of the owner/handler at all times inside and outside of the UFCU Disch-Falk Field stadium block.
- Dogs must wear a collar with current rabies vaccination and registration tags.
- Dog owners/handlers are liable for any injuries or damage caused by their dogs.
- The designated relief zone for dogs, located outside the left field gate of UFCU Disch-Falk Field, must be used. Dog owners are responsible for picking up and disposing of their dog's waste in specified receptacles.
- Each Bark in the Park guest receives a dog relief bag and disposable dog water bowl upon entry to UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
- Dogs are permitted to be between the third base entry gate and the left field gate on the concourse (between sections L1-L7).
- If guests want to bring in outside water for their dog, it must be in a sealed container upon entry. There are water stations for dogs inside the ballpark.
- At no times may Bark in the Park dogs access permanent restroom facilities in the stadium. Temporary restrooms designated for Bark in the Park guests are available.
- Dogs are NOT allowed inside the suite level of UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
- No dogs are permitted on the playing field at any point.
- Aggressive or dangerous dogs are prohibited. Dogs showing any aggressive behavior, or any altercation between animals, will result in the immediate removal of the participating animals and their owners from UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
- The University's existing policy for service dogs at athletics events continues to apply for those dogs meeting the requirements of a service dog.
- All Bark in the Park ticket sales are final; no refunds will be made unless the game is impacted by severe weather.
